Hayne dropping that ball from the kick off proved that karma can exist. However you try and sugarcoat it onfield he has been a terrible distraction and disaster for the Titans. What he does is nullify the playing making contribution of one of his halves. That is why if he wishes to keep playing he must just play there as he is way past it at fullback.

He will continue to polarise that team and the media will scrutinise and turn on him at the first opportunity.

Why do people feel the need to make such bold statements off the back of 5 f**king games? If he can be arsed sticking around next year, I am fairly confident he will improve.

If he does, will all the haters go silent again like the Ricky Stuart haters have now?

Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad we didn't throw a shyteload of cash at him, but a bit of perspective would be nice.

Despite his greatness it is well known that he is a egomaniac that polarises the team. In a professional capacity I met A CEO at a Sydney club and we discussed him at length. I told him I was a big fan and he told me that he was a cancer to any team that we were better off without him. I disagreed but I can now see his point especially in the way we have progressed as a team and all be it the 5 games that he had for the Titans.

Time will tell I suppose. I'd still take him back as our other half to replace Foran but not at his asking price.

Whats happened.to the investigation into player managers especially wayne beavis for the salary cap stuff.

It hasnt been spoken about since hayne signed with gold coast reinforcing in my mind his arm was twisted into going up and playing up there. Jarryd could still have told NRL to get lost though.

Hayne has been outplayed by the opposing fullback. He wont get back into the top 4 fullbacks in game.
He still has shown glimpses and will come good but wont reach his greatness. His best years in NRL would of been the last 2... We built a style to suit Hayne. I reckon Ricky helped with that tbh.
He needs to learn to adjust to titans style. He will be 29 next season. The pace amd acceleration will slowly start to decline.
But lets face it titans never signed him for his skill but more for his name. At age 30 his contract will be up and 31 going into his next. Its starting to get to twilight of career, and to old to move into a new position. That had to happen by age 27.
Im not sure he has the smarts to be a half thou. His natural position is fullback. Im sure next season will be better. His 5 games have been poor but i guess thats expected with time off and no off season to learn the teams playbook.

Problem is we have Bevan, its possible he will be top shelf.Did we want to slow down his rise? In the halves hayne may not be better then gutherson, Would be a gamble...

That could well be the case. If so we pass on him forever. Another reason why Sam Williams would be probably the best fit in the short term. As a backup or starter if someone gets injured or struggles.

Hayne deserves time to prove himself, given.

However the unconditional love that some have for him is nauseating.

I bet there are some at the Tits who were led to believe that he was match fit and could slot straight in. In hindsight, I reckon they wish they told him to focus on his fitness and to be ready for November off season.

His desperation for cash with his "I've been unemployed for 2 months" rhetoric and the Tits desperation to get his 2017/18 deal over the line ultimately jeopardized how deep their 2016 finals run went. I could see it on Neil Henry's face.

I would sign him at 6 for $800k under the cap plus whatever TPA.

He will get back. He is too heavy at the moment and needs to get back to NRL shape.

Hayne is one of the smartest players in the game. He will adapt to 6 easily if our pack wins the ruck.

At this point in time, we have probably one of the cheapest spines in the game

1. French
6. Gunco
7. Norman
9. De Gois

I buy into the NRL convinced him to join the Tits.

You didn't need to hear it from a CEO. Pou and Phantom were telling you that for years.

I like how French just hangs around and takes advantage of any opportunities.

He would be great following the likes of Hayne and Norman plus Mau and Kenny boy waiting for an offload

All I saw on Neil Henry's face was a desire to punch the living shit out of the referees.

Hayne certainly wasn't the reason the Tits lost last night. Yeah he made a couple of errors but he was also the reason they scored most of their points. Losing Taylor early hurt them more than anything and being on the end of some pretty poor officiating didn't help either.

The Tits did not lose because Hayne played. However I saw enough last night (and previous weeks) to see that he disrupted the cohesion that the Tits had 6 or 7 games ago.

I also saw enough to see that he's still got it, but is a yard behind the pace. I think he will be as good in 2017 and he was for us in 2014, but he needs to let his 6 & 7 run the show and they need to feel like they are in charge.

True but I thought he was doing that until Taylor went down. After all of the stuff in the press about him disrupting the attack recently I really think he was making the effort to stay out of the way. Once Taylor was out, Hayne being a foot off the pace and unable to stay mentally focused under fatigue came to the fore.

He'll be a handful next year.
