Where exactly is this pressure coming from? Would open a very big can of worms. What happened with that story about Langlands anyway?

TBH the media are just trolling. The powers at be already made a statement about Joey and Bozo. Joey who admitted to significant drug use and Bozo who something something Manly salary cap allegations. The NRL said that immortals should be judged for what they did on the field.

Appeals usually take time. He may very well be in gaol before it's scheduled.
Are appeals just granted or does there need to be new evidence etc?

Pressure from who? The media?

The NRL should be very careful if they do that, otherwise it opens a big can of worms. So in that case if a "former" Dally M winner, Clive Churchill medalist and Wally Lewis Medalist was to commit a crime, would they scrap their medals??

Dont forget we have Ben Barba who was in trouble with the law

Hayne's crimes were committed after his achievements not during those seasons

The AFL had stripped a Brownlow medalist because took illegal substances during that season.

Could take awhile, the pommie soap dodger Burgess’ took months only. Hayne’s may take a while though. Appeals are not a given, but it is rare not to be granted one. Not to sound like T Boon the defence have a bit of murky evidence such as texts (or Textas if your from the ACT) to try and clear their client. Time will tell.
