Rugby Union's so called backstab is more of a disappointment rather than a vendetta. Their loss is our game.
He's a natural centre and I'd sooner him play there and To'a to the wing. Skelton can be the fastest middle in the league along with Fafita 😂

Phenomenoul Talent

But dont forget the try he scored while on the wing was classic work from Sol Saukuru at centre. Jinked and got a bit on the outside of the centre and got the opposing wing interested. Good tactical play by Saukuru and good finishing by Makasini
The handful of games that I have seen of him he has the ability to run over people too.
As you pointed out RAS, he is strong in the hips with that jinking run but then strong enough to power on through. Dare I say a bit like Fitler. 🤔
I think he's best suited at centre but ousting To'a who was leading DallyM's centre at the start of last year before he succumbed to another injury will be a challenge.
Fancy having this super kid Masi as a sub, WOW.

To'a is a myth , reminds me of Esan Marsters , he has had 4 or 5 great moments that has smoothed of the cracks of his mainlly average shitness.
If he can't perform consecutively week on week he can f**k orf! Id rather a rookie with a big potential future learn even while making mistakes giving 100% than some bum given multiple opportunities who still makes mistakes and picks when he wants to play his best.

100% correct. Last year was his best year for us.....but still had some very ordinary games. Befopre last year, you could count the amount of good games he has had with one hand over the rest of his tigers stint.

I agree but he had injuries...again.
This is a huge problem with him.
I still maintain that if he's fit he's one of the best centres going around, that's why we extended him.
We now have depth so if he's injured he'll have to fight real hard to get his spot back and that's a good thing, fighting for spots, training the house down.

I reckon he is a gun but he is always playing injured. Luai mentioned that he was a player who would surprise people.

I think his issue is injuries plus playing in the centers. Centers to me often go missing.

The only question to me though is Makasini better than both To'a and May.

It appears that Makasini has no desire to play on the right edge, and I haven't seen anything to suggest Benji has plans to move him there. It feels to me that he will be brought into FG as a winger. I could see our backline shaping up like this:

1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. To'a
4. May
5. Makasini
6. Luai
7. Doueihi

Toa and Turuva were awesome together on that right edge until Toa got injured, and then Turuva got moved to left to play outside May. I'd love to see them back together on that right edge.

I reckon that will be our backline but I assume Skelton makes the team if he is fit. I can't see Makasini not getting a chance this season though and when he does he will probably be extremely hard to replace.

We should be able to score plenty of points. That backline is our strength. We have targets on both edges plus a spine that should be able to create plenty of opportunities.

I think it's Skelton's spot to lose ATM. Masi has plenty of time.

That's one huge leap, one giant leap for West Tigers (for those old enough to understand). hahaha
It didn't show the hight of his leap, double click the photo if you're interested.
