Good effort by Fifita, Woods, BMM and Groat. Fifita chased across field in defence to make a try saving tackle on cooper.

Interestingly, the dropped balls by Fulton (multiple) and Gibbs only confirm its time to move on.

Fifita also stupidly tried to knock the ball from the dummy half's hands and left a hole for Merrin is easily walk into...

They might have made a few mistakes today but they will go OK long term. They were against the best defence in the comp and they kept taking it up hard, just wish some of the others had. Should give Hino a special wrap, a few hours ago I had him on the scrap heap, proved me wrong. Groat is a big unit for 19.

I thought Fifita did a lot more work than normal and i couldnt be anyway critical of his game and effort.
Fulton -- altho he does work and try he is a like a 5 year old playing 1st grade, altho his build a few years ago just made the grade it is worthless today.
Schirnack ...SEE ABOVE .. yeah he will tackle everyone BUT the game actualy needs people who can run the ball and make ground as well
Dwyer... Not very bright but can lift heavy things !!......... f**k he lacks football brains and basic hand skills, bench impact player.

Time to clear the decks of a few old hands. I think Humphreys is trying to do it because we are in financial trouble but performance wise, the time is right.

Groat is a Goer, as is his fellow prop ( name has lost me now ) .. actualy i rate his team mate well above him and could match any of how current props.
Research = Neil Begovich
Gibbs did a shyte load of his normal clean up work around the ruck as well as some big hits in defence.

Future forward pack on display. Fifita had a big game and I am sure it would not have gone unnoticed.

They are also the best side in the comp, which was the only positive I could think of, to take out of this game. We were disgraceful in the first half again IMO. I think Tim has to give his half time speech before the game starts.
But we finished 3rd last year, we should be better than what we are showing this year. I just put it down to not buying experience, but with our salary cap issues (how the f**k we have that, is beyond me) we obviously can't buy up.
I don't know how the other clubs are doing it, if we are over with our roster?

We missed McKinnon's support play running off those big units. Moltzen needs to watch some real fullbacks to see how it's done.

Do you think it will help NC ?? he has had a few years at various times at 1 but he is still the same . Moltzen at least has the speed to make something of those breaks i guess but the rest of his game is lacking .

I have been critical of Moltzen at fullback but i dont think today that he was the problem. We really lacked
penetration out wide, with a lack of pace on both wings and left centre when opportunities arose. With Gibbs and Fulton its easy to see why the club wants to off load this pair.
