Had a top game for the jnr. Roos,My question to BS are you going to trade this top young player for a has been reserve grader?

I'll answer it for you,YES

With Folkes,C.Anderson under pressure at their clubs I guess BS will be on his last chance in 04.

As much as I wan't to win the Comp.I would love nothing more than seeing new blood in the coaching ranks not the high rate of turnover of players.BS bite the bullet and resign.

7 years at the club and nothing to show for it.The club and players have gone stale with his methods.

100% agree!!......he will probably be a second fiddle to the likes of James Webster!!

7 years as coach of our club...very long time..for a zero premiership result!!......the past 2 years there have been numerous signs of unmotivated players going through the motions, lack of game plan, defensive errors, lack of organisational plan, recruitment & retention problems etc

We definately need a change.....why wait another 12 months when i know we will struggle to be a top 8 side again next year!!

Im not overly happy with our retention & recruitment policy's besides a few....maybe because there is a large qauntity of new players at our club people are more optimistic......maybe we should be more optimistic but??....i don't think there much better then the players we have let go!!

2004=7th spot......firstt round elimination!!!

You think i'd be used to this .......but im not!!......get's more painfull every time!!

Hmmmmmm..... funny story.

I thought Morris was the hooker and wait he's only quite young still and hang on, blow me down, Thorman and Hopkins can play hooker as well.

Damn Brian must be stupid to not try and stockpile hookers on the reserve grade bench when we have so much depth at hooker and in the backrow. I reckon we should get rid of Armit, Tim Smith and Ryan Hinchcliffe so we can sign Wade! It just makes much more sense.

Damn I am so enraged that he didn't do it.

But, hang on a sec...... who said Brian made the decision anyway? Who's not to say the club offered hm good dollars to stay and he said no....

If you are concerned about junior talent then get behind the club and get them to sign the young blokes in the U 15's who nurtured right will be the blokes playing firsts when Hindy, Burt, Cayless and co are getting long in the tooth.

Wade and Sean didn't go on and do anything exciting after so much promise as juniors what makes Heath any different?

There's no guarentee that Morris is our answer to the hooking spot??....he did well for us this season when there but?? he also doen well for us at 5/8...actually better.

Thorman is more a 5/8 & half who i don't think has played any hooker at all for London fron the games i've seen of him & besides i have my doubts as to whether Thorman skills would not be utilised at hooker.....Thorman should be our first choice kicker..so kicking from dummy half all the time won't be a benefit to our side!!. Hopkins could be the answer but he still needs more time in that position to prove himself consistent.

We don't have a stock pile of quality hookers.....just players who have recently been put there to cover the position!!......James Webster is hardly depth!!!

Why would we need to get rid of Armit, Smith, Hinchcliffe when we have just released the likes of Solomona, Heckenberg etc.....we did offer Nathan Blacklock a contract recently to the value of $220,000 (indicitive),

I'd be so enraged to letting Junior representitive players go and keeping the likes of Webster.

But, hang on a sec...... who said Brian made the decision anyway? Who's not to say the club offered hm good dollars to stay and he said no....

Maybe your right??......maybe he was offered a contract to stay??.....A good contract??.....i doubt it!!

Alot of youngsters are know place on Schlorships at 15.....i know a few youngsters playing Flegg for the Raiders this year & they have been on Scholarships since they where 15!!

Wade & Sean where good players.......they where hardly given the chance to prove themselves!....Did Sean even get a crack at Fisrt Grade???.......they must be obviously a very talented family.....just like the Witt boys!!

Wade had a good crack at first grade and if I remember correctly Sean suffered from a career ending neck injury so I shouldn't really pick on him.

As for the hooking role its no longer a role that is used to win the ball in the scrum. Its a distribution role and attacking role from the play the ball. That being said I have watched Thorman on numerous occassions now and he plays quite a lot from acting half - and I would assume he will be used from the bench in this role next year if he isn't the 5/8.

Morris played very well for us at 5/8 but was brought to the club first and foremost as a hooker. He is a distributor and defender and once he builds a good relationship with Witt and Dykes he will be more effective.

We also have signed Jeremiah Pai as a utility and he has played the majority of his football at hooker and has played first grade. IMO he would be the first choice if Morris or Hopkins were unavailable.

Webster is a good footballer however I do agree he is not a good option at hooker however the times he has played there he hasn't done anything wrong but he hasn't been spectacular either.

Yes the U15's are on contract and from what I saw there are some talented kids among them - in particular Terry Lamb's son who played exceptionally well at hooker.

We are served quite well at hooker and I would think the club should be strengthening the backline depth then the forwards.

I have my doubts on Pai!....maybe im pesimistic because i haven't seen or heard of him before!!.....i can't really make a judgement on him just yet!!

Webster is a player who can maybe do i good job for our Firsts for 1 or 2 games then go back to First Division....he will never be solution & even though he hasn't done much wrong....he hasn't really given us an option out of dummy half which let's face it is a very important attacking area for each side these days!!.....he's more a simplistic player who just distributes the ball to the recievers & that's it!!

It's funny how you mentioned Terry Lamb's son.....i played my junior RL with Chester Hill & Lamb's son was a couple of years below me & believe me i didn't think or everyone else for that matter he'll be any good a player....he was overweight, lacked pace, everything.......times do change!!

I honestly think if Morris get's injured next year we will have problems......i cannot see us getting to the finals with the likes of Webster at Hooker......maybe Hopkins could do the job better....we shall wait & see!!......wonder if Tim Smith will be given a chance??

He may have been offered a contract to stay however he may have also seen an oppurtunity - with Morris, Hopkins, Thorman and Pai ahead of him he may have seen an oppurtunity at the Roosters. With Fittler likely to retire at the end of next year and Wing possibly being moved into the halves there is an opening.

Whose to say he isn't another Matt Lockyer or a Craig Kimmorley, Jamie Mahon or Daniel Brown. Bloodlines don't neccessarily mean he will be a gun first grade player. The club has been there and tried that before.

Are we talking Troy or Matt? Because from what I saw of young Troy he looks pretty fit, quick and has good hands.

Whereas Matt was flicked from the Dogs Jersey Flegg I think?

That would be players from that crack junior team from Goulburn wouldnt it? There was some classy kids in that team. I coached a side one year against that team, I think we got hammered by about 90 points. We did score a try against them though, which was a fare effort. I cant say the team I coached that year had much though!

100% right.....they formed the nucleus of the current champion Raiders Flegg side!!

Very Good side!
