According to today's SMH - due to Princey coming through the Origin game - he has been taken off the bench!

How accurate that is remains to be seen....

Yeah it appears the most likely, they also reported it yesterday and they've often been right this season. Makes sense to with Balmain playing before hand and Wests having a bye. Besides i thought Liam Fulton was great last week and certainly deserves his spot. Its a shame for Chris but he'll get his time, most likley in the next couple of weeks.

I think he will be dropped, Dene and Liam looked great last week and there hard running hitups in the backrow where great not to mention some of the tackles they made.

It will only be a matter of time before one of them busts the line and this week that could very well be the case especially with Payten on the bench.

That would see Buckets if needed move into the front row with Dene and Liam interchanged with the backrow or in the backs if needed.

I must admit I was surprised when I heard Liam wasnt playing.Especailly after the game he had last week,I thought he was awesome. It was lovely to see a backrower really charge at the line, reminded me a bit of Scott Hill the way he backed himself.

Im told by my reliable feathered friends that Liam has the ball skills to match Hill, and that we have only seen a sliver of his true talent.

If thats the case I can wait to see a lot more of Liam Fulton.

I certainly rate Liam - but to suggest he is a Hill-clone would be misleading!

Scotty Hill has that silken-glide and swerve - reminiscent of Brett Kenny!

But while the kid does have great natural ability - he is not quite at that level!!!

I said "reminded me a bit". I dont see how that relates to "Scott Hill clone".

Yet again another classic Snidism.......keep up the good work mate....trying to find holes in peoples statements must keep you up late at night......

"has the ball skills to match Hill" - I beliee those were your words simon

Hill makes opportunities to use his ball skills via his foot-work - which Fulton is yet to show me!!!

LOL Lima a Hill clone I don't think so - he is more of a line breaking backrower/front rower and he will never make it as a 5/8th!!!!

He actually reminds me alot like a cross between Nikua/Kearney and Rua all rolled into one ;-)

and who knows maybe he might get a run on the weekend I guess time will tell won't it!

Is this the quote you are referring too Snide......if you look a little closer, you may see that some magpie mates have told me that he has ball skills like Hill.......not me.....

I saw Liam play roughly 7 games last year including his 1st grade debut. He has a huge boot on him when kicking in general play, plenty of pace and good ball skills. He also has great leg drive enabling him to bust through tackles, something a certain starting forward is incapable of. I`m not the one who labelled him similar to Scott Hill, but it was a good call, believe me!

Liam's got the short kicking game, chips and short grubbers to himself, happening which we should see when his confidence builds in few years or if we happen to be up by a few trys.

The kid has something you can't teach and thats class!! Even when he came on after we were getting monstered by the Warriors in his debut he looked threatening. Once he puts on a bit of beef he will really make a mark in 1st grade!! Out of all the juniors we have seen in the last year (Marshall, Harrison, Gibbs, Farah ,Collis etc) I think he has looked the classiest. Similar to Hodgson when he runs it I cringe cause I think hes going too get smashed but he gets up no trouble.

Once again Snide as much as I value your opinion, because more often than not I agree with you, I would like to know how many Magpies games you have seen this year so has to dismiss yappy's comparison

cheers

liam fulton = dead set champion

ball playing skills are awesome. pace, great step he has it all.

i can't forget watching him playing down a grade in flegg earlier this year. scored 3 tries and set up 3 more. sat out most of the second half.

absolutely dominated the game.

he will be better than scott hill ;-)
