1.5 million saved by getting rid of 10 people, you do the figures. Great move.

If this financial stress means the boys club takes a hike, i'm all for it.

I am hearing we have lost all of our sponsors, like maybe 1 left.

it'll end up in the media eventually.

This forum might aswell be inside the news limited building. Employees all of us. You’re welcome buzz ya f**kwit

Dont go flattering yourselves LU posters. News of this is rife around the shire. Buzzs sources are his mates at De La and to a lesser degree, members of the board. While journos do trawl the forums for info; real juicy stuff like this comes from people inside the Ark.

So what’s f**king new people get sacked from work everyday what’s makes the Sharks any different geez and they where offered reduncies lol

The team was already one of the leanest in the NRL so 10 staff is pretty drastic. There were a couple of people I can think of that weren't bringing any revenue into the business but how they found enough fat in the company to get rid of 10 people I will never know. A lot of the people who work at the Sharks are doing so for way less than market rates and relied on the place to put food on the table- they are now figuring out what comes next because I know the redundancy pay is bare minimum and not a dollar more.

$1.5m would be the cost saving, not the wages.

Wages are a massive part of the costs of having employees, but you also have to factor things like transport, tax, insurance, rent, IT etc etc. 1.5m isn't low, but it's not crazy for ten staff if you had say 8 staff with 2 managers.
