I have quite a few actually and they comment and like my statuses a fair bit.
I was like a 'floater' (had a group I hung out in, but I could wander around and converse with most people) in highschool so I guess it hasn't changed....a lot are knocked up or have kids LOL.
Most of my close friends are from highschool (a lot of people have close mates that start in uni) so I think that adds to it.

Graduated in 06, still good mates with about 10-15 of them, would stop and chat with the rest of them, weren't too many I disliked at school. There were a few in my grade who's names I didn't know aswell, so that might be awkward if they ever recognise me

....you don't see any of them at all anymore cause you don't like socialising with raging homos?

Pretty much mate. Moving around a lot hasn't allowed me to stay in regular contact with school blokes. There's been far more interesting people I've met in life.

Graduated in 1996. Still good mates with my crew from school, we always catch up as a group over xmas back home. And I still see other on a very regular basis, especially those who now live in Sydney. Had a 10 year reunion and it was great seeing everyone else again that I had not seen since school, cant wait for the 20 year one. Just a massive piss up.

Thanks to FB I'm sure many of you are in contact with old school friends, but how many are in close contact? Someone is organising a reunion but I still see the people I liked at school, the rest are on fb and that's enough contact for me. What about you?
I'm still friends with just one person from school. I travelled for 2 hours every morning through 3 country towns to go to school at the most inbred redneck f**king town in the world.

Literally.

I made no friends there, had fights with plenty of the mongs, most memorable one was when I gave one kid a card to give to his father for Fathers day.

It simply said

"Happy birthday Uncle Dad, I'll let you have my sister tonight"

He swore at me and called me names.

I broke his nose.

I was told I wouldn't be invited to any class reunions. 2 wins for me!

meh.

probably about 7-8 and i left 10yrs ago

recently had a 10yr reunion. no f**king way i'd go, as others have said, there are reasons why you don't stay in contact! FB is more then enough contact for me as well
gee, it'd be a big janitors closet to have a reunion in.

Do you still have your old mop?:lol:

I actually ended up organizing my ten year high school reunion and did most of that through Facebook.

While it was a really fun night (after I was done stressing about it), I do think that Facebook and being able to keep tabs on everybody took a little bit of the mystery out of it. I mean, for the most part, I already knew what everybody was doing and how much (or little) they had changed since high school.

sums it up in a nutshell. there were 3 people from my high school that i would even bother pissing on if they were on fire. one was my best mate, and is no longer with us, one i now work for, and one i've unfortunately drifted apart from a bit.

... and just for Cliffy, i went to a Christian high school for the last 3 years of my schooling, and they were a bunch of elitist shitheads. lol.

sounds like you got bullied in HS :(

I got shit in high school for a few reasons. I had a few fights about it.

Now, I only talk to about 4-5 people from my old-school maybe. I don't have facebook so that's another there infact I'm happy I don't have it.

I got bullied quite a bit in years 7 through 10. I was a smart kid and I knew it. Talked down to virtually everybody and didn't know when to keep my mouth shut.

It stopped pretty much as soon as we started year 11. The majority of deadshits and rednecks left to pursue trades, I'd mellowed a bit on the arrogance, and those who were left behind quickly adopted me as class clown.

The last two years of high school were pretty awesome. I even won Most Eligible Bachelor at my reunion

Last night I discovered through Facebook that the class clown of my graduating class is now married to this really pretty Malaysian girl (looks wise she is way out of his league).
I think I am becoming a bit bitter in my old age because I was not feeling happy for him, I was instead feeing sorry for myself because even he's married now and I'm still alone :(

If it's any consolation, she's probably only marrying him for a visa.

it's really not, she has a gorgeous smile and she's smiling in all the pictures of them together, so even if it is just for a visa, there seems to be a lot to appreciate. His facebook account is now shared with her so I can't say anything to him without it being to her too.

Ew. Shared Facebook accounts are for people without enough personality to warrant one of their own.

I crossed paths with someone I was at school with until we finished in 94.

They asked me why I wasn't at the 15 year reunion for a county town of about 14000.

I never got an invite. Very comfortable with this considering there was more than one classmate who has been convicted of murder... Nervous lol.

My year had one murderer in it, but it was murder-suicide, so he wasn't at the reunion.

I think I was simply forgotten. They'd all stayed together in town and I'd left and never lived there again.

Now uni reunions from those of us who lived on campus together.

Would be truly F$&@£€¥*%# epic, but the chance to get everyone in the one place at the one time never comes up.

Thanks life, job, kids etc...

A mate of mine from High School (I'm the godfather of his son) came up for Soundwave, and seemed so excited that it would be our 10 year anniversary this year. He asked if I would be going, and he got the shock of his life when I said no. Those I am still in contact with I enjoy speaking to. Those I am not in contact with either I care very little for (read, not at all), or really just didn't know them very well. Plus I really don't want to spend a few days in Bathurst, 2 years was enough!
