Hilder at Hooker

Just your thoughts people on how he went there.

I know some people like the idea of him playing there (myself included). I thought he didnt do a bad job and his defence is always solid which i think closed up the middle of the park a fair bit last night. He can revert back to the second row or lock when Sully comes on too.

I would like to see him there next week and he probably will be as Raper doesnt like to tinker with a winning line up too much.

I thought he was very good there. I'd like to see him stay there which is a shame for Pat Gibson, but I think Hilder will be most valuable to us there. With Dumas showing potential and Bird to come back, I don't think there is much choice.

Is Pat Gibson injured or has he just been dropped?

I dont think he did anything wrong to warrant being dropped??

He was named on the extended bench but not in the 17. I think he was number 18.

Yeah, at least that's what Foxsports said...Gallen at Pivot.

Hilder was good at hooker...Let's not forget, he scored a try on debut for us in that position, when he came on for Treister in Game 1, 2003 at Shark Park...Yes, in THAT game against the Storm.

Still, I don't think he is our best long-term option there. Bozzie isn't either, nor is Sullivan. I like Gibson there, but like many have said, it seems Pat has blotted his copy book somehow.

What was with Gallen at 5/8th? Good idea defensively, but better teams will take advantage and rush Noddy.

Kinda weird, seems like a quick fix by stuey boy, seemed to work looking at the result, but Gallen belongs in the forwards, his strength and commitment in defence are invaluable.
