Hindmarsh Cup

The first annual Hindmarsh Cup was played today in Robertson. I heard it was a mighty fine contest too, only problem (according to my sister) is Nathan couldn't attend due to very important meetings being held at the Club. Why was he alright to attend at 5pm yesterday and not today. Is there further trouble in paradise???

Check out today's Telecrap there is an apology from them regarding the meeting.

It states that the article mentioned it was a meeting that was setup at the last minute however that was incorrect and the meeting had been planed for a couple of months as an ongoing series of these type of meetings

yet another blow in shit stiring eliminated!!!!

Fine. But why was he confirmed less than 24 hours beforehand if the meetings were planned months ahead. Couldn't they have been fit in during the off season, they had 5 months? I am a season ticket holder for over 10 years and I drive 1 and a half hours each way to each home game. I am not trying to stir, just hoping and praying for better results. Whether we like it or not there are problems.

Mighty, you may be right, you may be wrong. However, some things like this need to be a bit more open and transparent - something the club is not noted for. It oinly allows conspiracists to flower, so to speak

And what aren't they being open about? - they have obviously told the Telegraph what the meeting was.....does the club need to publish a timetable for EVERY meeting that is planned?.....do we all know what is going on at successful clubs like Penrith in terms of player meetings etc?

The problem I see is that the "conspiracists" are desperately trying to find a conspiracy in EVERYTHING that happens - seems like a kick em while they r down attitude.....and I don't see these "dreamed up ideas" as ANY form of support for the club....if we play crap and get flogged then fine, bag players and coaches for poor performances, but don't spread malicious gossip as a means of trying to destabalise the current club management.
