Hindmarsh will get Burnout

Messages

Last few days I have been thinking that in the last few games Hindmarsh has been doing so much work that he may burnout

At the press confrence this is what Smith said:

Q) NATHAN HINDMARSH SEEMS A LITTLE DOWN ON THE QUALITY WE KNOW HE CAN PRODUCE?
A) Yes, he didn't take my advice afte rthe Origin series when I said to him have a few days off and rest both physically and mentally. He felt that by missing training he would be sending the wrong message to his team mates, so he battled on. He is still putting the effort in, no one would ever doubt that.

Hindmarsh should do nothing and put his feet up for the next week. This man is a freak but we dont want to kill him. I think other players in the team need to take more responsibility. The way he is going he wont last.

Hopefully with guys like Morrison, Cayless, Stringer and Robinson in the side next season, Hindmarsh wont have to do so much work.

Its a little bit of football which we dont see. We DO see hindy give his heart every week but he is only human and he has gotten himself to a stage where he is frustrated and his form is hurting as a result. The offseason couldnt come quick enough and a player of his magnitude deserves a premiership. I still think he should be played on the fringes. Like in SOO II where he just troubled them with barnstorming runs. Something we havent seen 4 a while.

I think this is a true example of what a full on origin series can do....plus 50 odd tackles each week too.

Something has got to give.

I agree 100%.

I adore his dedication. I adore him.

BUT PLEASE NATHAN - HAVE A BREAK.

We all love you as a bloke and as a player. But you could use and deserve a break.

How tough is that!!!

And look what he gets in return.

Good on Nathan for keeping at it when he must be exhausted.

Thumbs down for Brian Smith, claiming Hindmarsh's less than brilliant form is as a result of him not taking Smith's advice.

I'd give him the rest of the year off to be honest.
After the finals he'll be selected for the touring squad for the tri-nations. The final test is early december, sevens in January, pre-season in february, next season proper starts in march. Won't have much left for the start of next season.
Basically if he keeps going, he'll have played football every month of the this year and the next.

It's hard to have brilliant attacking form when you are making 40-50 tackles week in week out for your team! Smith should have stuck up for him on that fact alone.

Hope Hindy rests up well over the bye weekend.

the poor bloke is already burnout. just give him the rest of the year off! although you would think he would still be in with a shot for the Dally M player of the year. Finch was leading like 6 weeks ago but I haven't seen him do much lately

Good one mate....everyone here is advising Hindy that he needs a rest - but if Smithy does it - thumbs down for telling anyone he said it.

I think this week will do wonders for him, 1 week of doing nothing should carry him through till the end of the season. And then another break before the Aust tour.

That's why the signing of Glen Morrison is so important, he will brign quality and share hindys workload

Unless our new forwards disregard B.Smith's coaching and acually run the ball up at pace and run up in defence, they will make no difference.
