And I think you'll find Souths wouldve had it in 1952 and 1953, but were controversially beaten by Wests in 1952 and won it in 1953.

The Roosters also did it in 1912 and 1913.

Funny that this time it was an old maroubra thread resurrected by someone else and not the other way around.

I hope history repeats. If memory serves right chooks won in 02 before losing the 03 gf to the worst team of 02 (souths don't count as they were only just back). Would like to see eels beat chooks in the gf.
