Great to see him back in a rep side. I think should somehting happen to Minichello, Hodgson may be the next in line to take the NSW fullback spot. Lets hope he has a blinder on Friday and backup the next day and outplay the guy with the Jackie Chan nose

Let's hope so. Congrats to Skando being named on the bench too. Good to see Tigers being recognised by selectors.

Congrat's to both of the boys. Can't believe they picked Steven's though. Skando should be starting. But i guess as soon as he runs out onto that field, he'll rip and tear! As Albo said, it is great to see Hodgo back, after a year in the wilderness due to injury and poor form at Parramatta, he has certainly bounced back, and is one of the form players not just for Wests Tigers but in the NRL for that matter. Two local products from the Western Suburbs district trying to assert their claim's for a prized Sky Blue jersey. Goodluck to them.

Yes it is great to see my former Magpie hero back in a rep jumper .
However i am scratching my head at why Jasin Stevens and Mark Omely would get the call up in front of a player who is the form front rower of the competition .

What does the guy have to do to open the selectors eyes .
Play for one of the 6 glamour sides?

I think Shrek deserved his spot but stevens is a mystery - the Sharks forwards are among the most overrated in the game imo - being dirty does not automatically make you a good player.

I say it every week but this bloke really has turned things around and is playing great footy for the Wests Tigers - He along with Skando deserve there spots for friday nights game and congrats on them for being selected!

It would be very interesting to see who they would slot into the fullback spot if Mini did happen to get injured - Hodgson IMO would have to be second choice infront of "drop the ball Patten" ;-)

skando---man of the match in his last game at this class-then didnt even get close to state of origin team.got over or matched it with every front rower this year.up their in the m awards, and still ony gets a bench--when your team is down on luck, its not only the refs giving us a tough time but the rep selectors too .maybe in a few years we will have half a team of reps

Im stoked for Hodgson and us.he would have to be our BUY OF THE YEAR so far.Copped a lot of crap at the time about signing him, from our own fans and especially Parra fans who called him slow, injury prone and a speed bump.

Well this kid is all class and has saved sooo many tries, not to mention score a few himself.Couldnt be happoer with his form....thanks Parra.

Yeah well we can thank Smith for his inability to take any form of criticsm from a player personally about a game tatic yet again another player who was forced out of the Eels next one to go will be either Widders or Witt ;-)

I cant believe Widders cant get a start. He is a gun,and Witt, whats the go with him. They sign him up fro 4 yours, proclaim him to be the saviour of the eels, and now he is languishing in PL,next to Thorman, while they have blokes like Wagon at 6??????

Somethings not right at Parra IMHO........

Yeah great to see brett back in the rep teams......lets hope this rep game brings out the form he was in when he last played origin . Not that hes playing poor now....just that it could be another little motivator for him to play even better, I hope.

Thats because they confront Smith about tatics before and after agame and unlike most coaches he takes offence to it - simular to what happened with Hodgson, Drew, Richards, Tonga and Shifty all players who are thinking players but that actually worked against them whilst at Parra
