Great signings.

If Hoffy can remain fit, he'll be one of the best fullbacks in the game.

McGuire is well on his way.

Now to focus on the rest of them.

Two of the most promising young players in the NRL signed until 2015.

Since White and Gee entered the club, we've deffinitely been much more savvy in the player rentention/acquisition department. Can't be anything but very happy with the club's direction.

This is excellent news. Both players are already making their mark and they will only improve as well.

Excellent news. McGuire will be the cornerstone of our pack one day and the way Hoffman has performed in first grade has me feeling like hes going to be one of the best/most consistent fullbacks in the near future. Rep jumpers won't be too far away from these players over the next few years.

Seems Hoffman wants to play five-eighth next year, leaving fullback for Beale. Hopefully they'll give him a trial game or two there, I have no confidence in a Norman/Wallace combination and don't see Hunt coming off the bench until McCullough finds confidence and consistency.

Not much to go by but the CM is reporting that both deals are worth 250K and will be backended in the final 2 years.

McGuire wants to be a Bronco for life and has three younger brothers coming through and are considered prospects. Along with Griffin they influenced his decision to stay at Brisbane. Apparently his manager wanted to test the waters and had been offered more money to transfer elsewhere but he was happy with the deal the Broncos offered.

Hoffman is about to get married, will be 100% come preseason and fielded offers from the Roosters, Titans and Cowboys before signing on with the Broncos.

Happy Days.

Hoffman certainly has the confidence and probably the defense to play 5/8 but has anyone seen any evidence of play-making skills? Was he a half as a junior?

Yes apparently he played 5/8 as a junior.

But I've seen no evidence from him at the NRL level for play-making skills. And his inability to perfect the out-the-back play doesn't exactly instil confidence in me. Not saying he is incapable, I just have not seen him to do it at NRL level at this stage.

This is what worries me about him in 5/8 as well. He doesn't have that natural timing. Fantastic ball runner but I don't know if he has the play maker spark.

He has played quite a bit of 5/8 though so I'm all for giving him a shot. I get the feeling he would make a lot of line breaks there, just haven't seen much evidence of passing/kicking/playmaking...
