Sad to hear of David "Holla" Pangai's broken foot in last night's PL game. This young guy's advancement from S.G.Ball to PL this year has been sensational. Was confident he may have even found his way to "The Big Show" this season. Look forward to seeing him in First Grade next year.

What about Jermaine Alberts or Bryan Dickson or any other of the rising stars???Who`s the most likely to become a star in the top grade in your opinion???

Alberts was awesome on the weekend, Kmet and Dickson werent far off too, Dickson could play this week now that Buckets is out. Thats a damn shame about Dave though, he's be in awesome form!

Dicko was apperantly very close to being called up on the weekend apperantly however Galea pulled through.

Its good to see that a few more people have taken abit of notice to Dicko and Kmet as well.

How did Harper and Hunter go in JF ????

I thought Hunter was great , Harper wasnt far behind, i didnt really notice him a lot but Hunter was a standout i thought. Obviously Alberts continues to impress, i thought Tobin was good too.

Hunter is more like Small in his approach whilst Harper is starting to become a workhorse who offloads when ever he can to provide some 2nd phase play both will play 1st grade I have no doubts about that.

Interesting you mentioned young Tobin Brook swears he is a Dicko clone and well as much as I hate to agree with her she really is right!

Alberts I think is only a matter of time before he is called up into at least PL it wouldn't really surprise me if he gets called up against a lesser known side latter during this year in 1st grade either to be honest

Yeah Alberts scored a cracker to get the game started a nice little 70 mtre solo effort, pure strength. And yes, tobin does seem like another dickson clone wich is a good thing.

Alberts is very much another Pat Richards in size and strength, certainly seems a class above at flegg level.

He has the same strength but I would say he has a hell of alot more pace however and style of play to boot as well!

Considering his age as well I can only think that this time next year he could infact be a regular in the top grade!!!!

Jamie Nowland is a player who plays his heart out game in game out and doesnt get very much recognition. ive watched him play and he could well be a candidate to partner prince in the halves very soon..or so i think

Nowland seems to be developing nicely as a halfback.I dont know wether or not his long term future is in that position though.I was impressed with Dickson on Saturday. He put some good hits on guys who were bigger than him.If he got called up to to 1sts i dont think he'd let anyone down.

Yeah Jamie's done well since he's moved to halfback i think. He's still learning th position too so he'll only get better, its a pity though his goal kicking boots werent on though on the weekend.

MT' i'd agree i cant see Alberts finishing this season in JF, its only a matter of time before he hits PL and next season, first grade wouldnt be a surprise.

The most likelies are definately Bryce Gibbs & Robbie Farah. Unfortunately though I've heard that Robbie is being wooed by the dark side. I only watch Balmain (not Magpies) in the younger grades but Pangai & Caldwell are the obvious standouts. "Holla" was very suspect in defence and with the ball on the ground when he played Fullback, but has been a revelation this year in the front line at centre. Caldwell is very young but looks to me a potential Bradley Clyde - tough as nails, good ball sense, great defender & inventive runner.

Other younger names that may crop up in the future are Melville, Wara, Falcone, Ryan, Casa, Webster, Page, Adams, Leha & Wynyard.

Future's bright, enjoy it guys!

Farah to C*nterbury? Typical. Meanwhile we will be stuck with 2 30+ hookers.

Robbie Farah should have been our starting hooker from week one. I would have to think there must be hidden issues because I can't figure why both Senter and Mears would be in a starting 17 ahead of him. Canterbury want him, and love them or hate them, they always seem to recruit young champions.
