Home Gym setup

I am looking to build a home gym, having quit my local gym.

I have had a look around a few sites (Workout World, Ebay and various other online stores).

Can anyone recommend a strong and durable bench press set? Obviously the ebay stuff is a joke but some of the higher end stuff also look way overpriced for similar quality.

Also Cable Cross over, anyone have this at home? Any brand to recommend?

I sort of figured I could go and by the dumbell, preacher bar and squat bar, adjustable bench for incline/decline workouts along with the weights when the above two have have been sorted.

Just get an all in 1 squat rack. You can use it for bench, chin ups, could also get one with cables too. Would save you money and space to get one of these set ups. I'm
Not talking about those all in one cheap home gyms like you see in a mart. It's more like a squat rack/cage. They start at about 1,000 bucks.

Is something like this suitable fitness fanatics?

I've been finding my workout getting simpler and simpler these last couple of months. I now do a combination of pull ups, bench, squats, bent over rows, military press, dead lifts, dips and maybe close grip pull downs.

This being the case I am starting to think I can do all this at home.

Is it worth staying at the gym for variety and motivation or should I get the home gym set up?
