I'm not hating on Hoppa, and certainly agree that he's done well after 2 years in limbo. My point is if he's good value for money. If reports are true that he's on circa $800k, then he's not providing a return commensurate to our investment.

If he's on Sandow type coin then perhaps he is.

Its not his fault that someone signed him for 800k. He gives his all and makes a very big difference to our side.

I said all along I didn't know what he was on. I just said that if he's getting stupid money then he's not worth it. If he's getting $500ish then I'm fine with what he's offering.

The guy has been out of the game for 2 years and has stepped back into the game and played a full season in first grade.
Not many people would be able to handle that, and most would start in NSW Cup.

I think Hoppa has done a really good job this year.

x2, he will be far better next year after a full off season.

He is going good, but gee he needs some speed back.

Also watch the interview with him after the game, he is definitely very light around the shoulders / arms - needs a good off season on the weights.

But over all he is probably the best centre we have had since Tahu

He REALLY needs at least 10 kgs of solid muscle in the off season.
His best atributes are his soft hands and decisions in defence.
But he has a massive amount of work to do.

10kg of muscle in a few months isn't achievable by anyone on the planet. He does need some more size, but he's slow enough as it is without putting on too much weight.

Back when he was signed I doubt any player was on 800.At the time the papers said 800k for two years.Suggesting 400 k a year.Which at the time was HUGE.For a rookie really. All of a sudden the 800 gets twisted into 1 year not two.

Is Hoppa worth 400k a year? With current salary cap and his form id still say no.But than what about Lussick...........

Yeah right, until he leaves the club, then people "in the know" will say that his freed up cash will be a huge windfall for us to lure another superstar or 2-3 top flight class players.

Can't have it both ways. There was way to much press about his record sign on fee for such a young prodigious talent, for there not to be a raging fire coming from that thick smoke.
