I'll admit that while i didnt say we couldnt make the 8 after last week, i said it would be so much tougher without a livewire like Benji. But if the boys all pull together like they did yesterday then Benji's absense will be a minor glitch in our season.

With Kerr's effort against the dogs, i wanted to reserve my judgement for another day, after yesterday though, throw him along side Scotty and we'll have a more than capable halves combination and with that a great shot at the 8.

Thats true.....but another way of looking at it is out of the 5 teams above us, the top three have had their 2 byes where we still have 1 in hand.

All this talk of byes has me flummoxed.I kow you get 2 points for a bye.....but its not like other teams dont get 2 points if they win that weekend.

Teams that have a bye dont improve their for/against.....last week ours went up by 46 points........stuff the byes,Ill have a big win thank you very much.

I will agree with you to some extent Simon!

I was talking about this the other day and I think the bye to the Dragons could hurt us on the ladder where as to the Sharks it wouldn't for the simple reason being the for and against argument.

But in saying that when the Dragons play we do play a side that we can defeat and we have shown we are able to defeat that side already this year in the Raiders.

Still I do think that the byes sure they even out but we should really be looking at the draw without the byes to show a try reflection on where we really are compared to the other sides on the ladder!
