How many games before you ditched Fox?

With Fox seemingly turning its attention to AFL to boost its subscriptions in Vic, WA and SA it may lose its monoppoly over NRL. If you currently subscribe to Fox mainly for the NRL how many games on FTA would it take for you to decide to cancel your subscription?

For us WA fans of course we get zero games on FTA at the moment but if we got Friday night games and 2 or 3 games on a Sunday I would cancel my Fox subscription and save myself the $110 a month I currently pay for NRL viewing.

Fox sports just wont let this happen imo.

They know they'll lose subscriptions if they dont keep enough games. I'm sure they'll put in a bid to retain them.

Especially when you consider two of the players at 10 are also two of the major players at fox sports.

For you I would guess that ONE FTA game a week would be better than what your currently getting.

FTA is f**ked.......2 games Friday and a third on Sunday. That's it!!

3 f**ken games out of a possible 8....pathetic!!

If I were you I wouldn't go cancelling my fox subscription just yet.........

I'm about to restart my foxtel subscription....too damn frustrating missing out on so many games.

IMHO....FTA should have

Friday - 2 games

Saturday - 1 game

Sunday - 1 game

Monday - 1 game

5 from 8 would make me reconsider the foxtel option......

I did cancel my fox at the end of the 2009 season. Mainly had it for the NRL and at the time my subscription was $90 a month. When I cancelled they offered no change to what I was currently subscribed to for $30 a month. Still said no thanks.

At the time I only just discovered that some honest people on the internet stream the games and I could watch them live anyway. Or if I really wanted I could get a proxy and pay for the live stream service for international people that the NRL provides for. Costs absolutely nothing really, I think it is about a $100 a year or thereabouts.

So in all honesty I am somewhat happy with the live games on FTA at the moment. Mainly because Broncos are my team and must get at least 60% of Friday night games anyway.

Watching a shitty stream for the rest is no skin off my back.

If they added a Saturday night game to FTA I would cancel it.

If I have a big friday night out, don't mind staying in and watching all the footy on a sat night. But if I could watch one game on tv I wouldn't bother paying $110 a month for the other. Monday night I go to the pub and watch it anyway.

I'd never cancel it, 9 simply do not show enough live footy. Plus I hate watching the dragons and broncos and souths week in week out on 9.

On fox I get super Saturday, which is pretty awesome plus a guarantee the raiders game will be live.

Any network showing delayed games is an absolute disgrace.

If this happened I'd find another sport to follow. FTA footy makes me want to stab people.

Haven't been able to have Foxtel since December, IMO no great loss. Clubs show games live worst case, or just find a way to watch it.

Me too, as long as 3-4 of them were live. Ads shit me to tears.
Yes me too....I either watch Fox's delayed replay of the 9 Sunday game or just IQ it and zoom thru the ads.....I am now so attuned to watching games ad free I dont stand for 9's crap broadcast anymore

You've got more than the basic package which is all you need to watch league.

I wouldnt cancel , if it lost league all together then it would be gone

If any games are on fox I'll keep it.

Personally I hope they get as many games as possible and especially hold on to super Saturday andy day nights. FTA will murder Monday night footy

Fox would have to get all 8 games with none on FTA for me to even think about subscribing. I've never bothered to fork out $$ to Fox, f**k 'em I say.

Three games a weekend on FTA is what we were used to before the corporations started to get their claws into our game.

Friday night x2 and Sunday evening on FTA is enough games per weekend for me - mixed with a trip to the pub on Saturday night or Sunday arvo (or at worst a Monday night) to watch for free if my team is playing away and on Fox.
