I liked Russ Richardson. I really did.
But he farged us against the Broncs that year. Amongst other times.

Anyway, he's made the Knights against Panthers this week at centre.

When I saw the thread I thought "uh oh Rieck is about to feel the brunt of a blacktip campaign"

And I thought we'd all agreed to never bring up that Russell Richardson bombed try in 2000 ever again.

I reckon he'll drop 2 balls this Friday.

Don't know how long he'll last in first grade to predict how many he'll butcher this year though. Hopefully its lots - just so Newcastle fails dismally.

Someone stated that CA has had the longest lasting after effect on this club and we need to Move on.

Well, here is someone that has a longer lasting after effect on the club, so it seems...

NOW, who did bring this 'long lasting after effect on the club' up again?

After his knee reconstruction he was never a dangerous backline player again. Lost his pace and confidence. I couldn't believe Newcastle bought him and put him in first grade. Comes across as a great bloke but I'm afraid these days he just falls apart with chronic injuries and makes Bruce Reid look like the Terminator.

Funny thing is that the Knights didn't buy him. RR retired and bought a pub up here in Newcastle. He had no intention of playing this year...

With Mark Hughs's problems and a few other injury issues, they approach him to see if he was interested to play for the Knights. He thought hard about it and agreed to. I doubt he is on anything but an incentive contract. That means he is hungry and ready to try his heart out. He has nothing to lose, but plenty to prove to himself. He is still relatively young enough to hang around for a few years if staying healthy also.

That bombed try aside, and what it ment to the Sharks and Supporters, I wish him all the best! If he fails, he already has every guys dream to go back to... His own pub!!

the guys was working stats last year at souths for langmack when he couldnt get any form any where any time. Times up richardson, you should have stayed retired, lets see how long you say off the cans.

He should be remembered for his dropping of the ball before the line V the Broncos. It cost us the game, no doubt. He scores, 1 beats 8 for the 1st time. Who knows what happens after that - we would have been on a huge roll. It has happened before.
The knights are really struggling for depth to chose him in rd 1. He is way past his best.
