how many Knights players hit the gym or those that couldn't hit the physio, doctors etc yesterday instead of the bottle.

Going by the past season it should have been mandatory.

Nah, let them have their break. Mentally they will need it.

No point burning them out mentally before the season even begins. I think the break away from football and the losing culture of last season will do them good.

This. Give them some time off to rid themselves of stench of what was the shittest season imaginable. Then when they return absolutely flog them until their fitness is up to scratch. No footballs involved, no matter how long it takes.

Given what Brown said about them being the in the worst shape of any side he has seen coming back from the off season, I think they are in for a caning.

They definitely need a break after such a tough year, they would have to be mentally and physically freyed around the edges after getting bashed every week.

But when Brown hits the go button on the pre-season these guys better be ready for a flogging. I hope we come back next year as a much fitter team. IMO this would solve a lot of our defensive problems.

Nope, give them a holiday because most still at the club tried their guts out in a suicide mission.

The kids in particular need a rest.

I'd say that. Brown and the new staff are preparing the pre season from hell.

I'm more interested to see what happens after week one of the finals and whether some deals get closed.

Yep - based on your feedback from the catch up with Gidley, I'm also keen to see what we are going to be working with for next year that will be coming in outside of the current playing group too although I'm expecting it to be more so after the whole finals series winds up

Would love to see these guys going to performance centres and doing their own thing in the off season like the guys in the NFL do. You can't just rock up to pre season and expect the trainers to get you fit anymore, the game is way too professional for that
