How often does Petero Civoniceva play the ball correctly

After watching the Brisbane v Auckland match on TV last night.I honestly think Petero Civoniceva rarely touches the football with his foot when playing the ball.Yet you sometimes hear referees telling Sam Thaiday to put his foot on it,and I think he plays it correctly most times.

Worst ever was Shane Tronc. Bloke rolled it between his legs without so much as an effort and got away with it every single time.

Tronc was too busy trying to fix the cable going to his handbrake than to concern himself in playing the ball correctly...........

Funny that this thread has popped up as last night I commented that he had t touched the ball with his foot once all night. I've never noticed this before from him so assuming it was a one off...however last night there were a few very obvious ones.

When you're such a good bloke, you don't have to.

Read the fine print of the rules.

Or between the lines.

Besides which, you don't have to touch the ball witg your foot, just as long as there is motional effort alls good.

Unless I am mistaken.

I personally did not notice Petro playing the ball incorrectly. The game was pretty intense despite nasty weather conditions. Quote of the match from the commentator following the 2m forward pass: "The touch judges must have their eyes painted on". That made me laugh. I think at the end the Broncos just held out due to the fact most of the QLD team was made up of Broncos this year and they just had that experience and know how to hold on when it really counts. Despite the Warriors throwing some lottery balls in the last 10 seconds, which could have paid off for them had it not been for the speed of Hoffman, the better team prevailed. They Broncos just had more guts in the end.

You'll notice the refs. always make a point of telling him.

Have been for probably a decade now.

I remember when the refs decided they were going to crack down on the play the ball a few years ago. Brisbane gave up many penalties due to Bulla at the time. Now it pretty much goes un-checked by all teams.
