I'm looking forward to this years Final series imensly. I believe my side will be there, but I don't feel we have the goods to make much of an impact, but the though of Saints, Brisbane, Canterbury, Parramatta and Newcastle all being there the crowds are going to be huge.

As the top four stands at present, there should at least be 20,000 at each of the finals during the first week. I look forward to playing Canterbury twice in a row. (It's saints destiny to be knocked out by the Dogs this year in the Finals due to the 3 year cycle which is nine years old and going strong). The anticipation of such a game between such fierce rivals makes the mouth water. If either of these sides can get on a roll, we are in for an absolute feast.

This is Parramatta's year and the Eels are coming out of the woodwork. By far and away, the best team on the paddock this year and should go all the way. Due to the opposistion, I'll probably be in favour of them going all the way, how ever, the result being gloating Parra fans will make my stomach churn. Looks like I may have to take my shopping outside of Parramatta should they get up.

Newcastle will be in the Finals for at least two weeks and with Newcastle comes the bus loads ofpassionate supporters. The Semi at Marathon will be huge and the likely second week clash should draw a huge crowd.

The Sharks, as much as Ipassionatly hate them, they are starting to scare me. The tension that will be death wishing the side in the finals will send many a Saints fan insane. The sooner their 34 yeardrought is extended, the better. They must never win a Premiership. Gurrillawarefare is the last viable option should all else fail.

Brisbane, the team everone wants to beat and the bench mark. All ways an ominous threat to any ones title hopes butthey play on a more level playing field this year with a lot of their stars out.

The other two teams, Roosters, Melbourne, Beagles, Warriors or possibly even the Langmack guided Wests Tigersare all a chance for a spot. Personally, I'd like to see Melbourne andthe Warriors out of this lot. The Warriors making a Finals series would be great for the game and a little more exposure in Victoria.

Either way, looks like an absolute ripper of a series heading our way.

My Top 8 would be:
Parramatta, Newcastle, Bulldogs, Broncos, Sharks, Dragons, Storm, Warriors.
Parramatta, Newcastle, Bulldogs and the Dragons can pull big crowds in Sydney. A semi involving a clash between any of these teams would produce a full stadium and plenty of hype.
The Broncos do have a pretty strong supporter base and Melbourne fans have proven in the past that they do travel. A game involving any of these teams and the teams above would produce a pretty large crowd and a good game considering the Broncos and the Storms finals form in the past.
The Warriors are an unknown force. If they can tap into the Kiwi and islander population of Australia, they would enjoy considerable crowd support.
Hopefully the Sharks get knocked out early and stop wasting everyones time.
I do agree Parramatta are looking good for the premiership but Andrew Johns could do anything in the form he's in

As a diehard Eels fan, I am obviously looking forward to it. However, there are still a few rounds to go, and anything could happen in that time. My main fear is Canterbury. I am a great believer in the old adage that premiers need to have lost a grand final before. Well, of all the Eels rivals, just about all of them have that experience! Clearly it should be a good nervous time. Parramatta are playing as good as any team in history, but that means nothing come sudden death football.
