My first post, so I'd best make it a good one

Here is my summary of todays Hull-Castleford match. I'm a Cas fan, so it is slightly biased....

Hull 26 Castleford 4

Attendance 10971

Penalty count: 15-5

I'm gutted, deflated and annoyed. Whatever word you want to use, none can describe tonights performance (unless you start swearing, of course).

Highlights Understandbly there are very few highlights. The navy helicopter which kept landing by the stadium was interesting (yes, it was that bad).
Thackary played well and never stopped trying, unlike some of his team mates.
At last Paul Newlove played.
That's about it really. Oh, and we weren't nilled this time.

Lowlights The score? The performance of the players? Being penalised for offside for the kick off once again? Too many to mention.

Estimated Cas fans? The official number was 656. So no we didn't go in a taxi/skateboard/scooter etc.

How were the Cas fans? Fairly noisy. Supported the team even when we were 22-0 down.

Comedy Moment Singing 'always look on the bright side of life' and 'The Super league, is upside down, the super league is upside down.' In other words, taking the michael out of our current position.

In a nutshell: Disastrous. Something needs to give, and I would like to see Brambani, Kain, Bravo and Huby given a chance in place of underperforming players

Yeah I've seen Andy Kain play a few times on video, the last time being the England u/17's v the Australian Institute of Sport in December, he was outstanding and looks a player to keep an eye on.

I saw him play in most of the home academy games last season, and against Leeds and Hull (academy).

He looks like a fantastic prospect, and if he imrpoved his general kicking play and one on one tackles, he has the potential to go all the way.

I just hope he gets his chance

Jesus, bad luck on the kick off front. You just keep getting done for it and there's a lot of teams that are getting away with it week in week out.

The pressure is certainly is on Steady now with Widnes winning today. You reckon he could be finding himself in on the giro if you lose Tuesday's game? Do you think the coach is to blame or are the players simply not pulling their finger out?

I thought you'd run Hull a bit closer, you put in a very spirited display against St.Helens and closed us down for large chunks of the game. Something that a lot of teams have struggled with this year.

Well, we've been penalised for being offside from the kickoff 4 times this season. I haven't seen any other teams penalised from the matches on sky.
We probably are in front of the kicker, but then most teams are.

I think Steadman may well be on his way out. I think we are missing a leader, whereas in the past we have had Dean Sampson and Mitch Healy to rely on. This season, our main leader is a young 21 year old hooker (Wayne Godwin).

Certain players need to put a lot more effort in. Rudder has been shocking and looks low on confidence, Greenhill is a liability and walks round like he owns the place, and Mellor-well who's he? He's hardly played for us.

Whatever happens, something needs to change be it Steadman sacked, or certain players dropped.

Time to watch the rest of the Godfather 2 now 8)
