As a QLD origin fan it's a happy day. Never been happy with that Kiwi representing our great state! Can he take Inglis with him because I struggle to support that cockroach running around in our Jersey as well.

um how they play to win?

no one likes a loser

i am having a big smile today - its almost a laugh.

What a coup. No one expected this. A surprise.

Good on you hunt and co.

I did say you are either the predator or the prey. RL IS THE PREY

They have copied an ARU tactic. Which worked to start with but ultimately backfired.

He might have some regrets around origin time next year.

that he can't mix up stilnox and redbull with the boys? Even tho those reports are unsubstantiated, and the media run with it, i still dont think he will miss it enough to have wanted to be there.

He's missing money more.

AFL need a landmark player.

Look at Capp at the Bears/Lions. Look at Locket at sydney

Now to get attention they go for hunt + a big name afl player.

Lambretta i played afl when i was younger then moved on to league , And the AFL ball is probably the hardest to catch the afl ball is leather and it isnt soft and esoecially hard to catch when it is wet .

So what you're saying is that the replica balls they sell in shops are different from the ones the players use? I have a Sherrin at home and I use it for catching practice with my 2 year old because it's so easy to catch. (admittedly it's only a 3/4 size)

Why would that be the case?

But what I said was true. Not having the ball and getting tackled draws a free kick - so players "fumble" the ball when it looks like contact will be made so they can get a free rather than having to beat the man. To a league fan it would look like these guys constantly drop the ball and have all the skills of a one armed man who's remaining hand is made from soap and covered in grease. Where often they are deliberately dropping the ball whilst pretending they didnt deliberately do it as deliberately dropping it means the free goes the other way.

It all comes down to who can fool the ref into believing what is real and what is faked.

oh lucky days!!!

like i said players should be able to go where they want.

if our game is not compelling enough to them, you can ask why and even fix it, but they have the choice.

I genuinely wish hunt very good luck!

The problem for the afl is the aru did it to get people to check union out, as it had low exposure in the past. However people have already been exposed to afl ad naueseum in qld and interest is still low.

Anything is a possibility in professional sport these days.

Why, even Paris Simmons played over 100 first grade games of rugby league.

Like I said, anything is possible.

Cheers

If he does succeed though it will show that league players can play their stupid sport.

So funny. Hunt is trying so hard to be relevant in this country.. First it was pretending to be an qlder and aussie now he is trying to play AFL because he knows he would miss the attention in Japan

No rebel sport and places like that sell both types there is the official leather ball and you can also buy a sherrin that has a spongey outside type of thing. And you cant buy the leather balls unless its the official size.

Have you done catching practice in the rain with it yet? The thing turns into a ball of soap. I still remember playing footy with the old leather balls which at the first hint of rain would be as slippery as an eel and as heavy as a lump of concrete.

Enjoy them tight little shorts K.

No big loss, broncos will be able to replace him. His days in the qld team were numbered with slater at fullback and he won't play for australia.

Give it a few seasons and just like the rest of them, they all come crawling back.

Of course he will succeed. He can catch, he can jump and he is fit so he is a shoe in. What other skills do you need to play that game?

This should be a major worry for Rugby League, when Hunt switches and is successful, there will be all sorts of raids on our sport from these merkins. You can bet your arse that AFL will already be lining up blokes like Greg Inglis and Israel Folau, the next time they come up for renewal and they will have Hunt as an accessory to luring these blokes across.
