The same ref that was in charge of the Mariners/Sydney game that missed a blatant penalty in that one and dished out a 19-7 free kick count against the Mariners?

Thought it was a penalty last night too but knew it was never going to be given.

Wasnt the ref that beat us last night though.
Missed a number of chances with only themselves to blame.

How Phoenix got that penalty but we didn't get a similar one earlier in the game when Simon was chopped down is beyond me.

I wouldn't call those two incidents similar at all. The one that was given was a blatant penalty. Ridiculous defending. The one that wasn't was a 50/50 call imo... especially considering the ball had gone when contact was made by Lochhead, and Simon was moving in a different direction to the ball.
