The mob start at the football club office where they poor petrol over the heritage listed building and set it alight they then move to the Leagues club where they smash the front doors move inside assult patrons and staff damage poka machines, bars, glasses, computers etc the angry mob then move to nearby business where looting is the order of the day they terrorise nearby residents and turn parked cars over while flames seem to spill over to the nearby stadium where the Mick Cronin stand was standing about 1 hour ago.

Nick Bradley-Qalilwa has signed with eels. Well.......trialling for a contract anyway.Just do me a favour! I will except all opinions on this matter on the bases of reading the story about this bloke on page 94 of the Sun-herald.

peace!

I've not seen him play but after reading the article it sounds like he is motivated. To train an entire summer without knowing if he would be even playing this year says a lot.
If he can impress enough to get a contract in the lower grade squads then good luck luck to him.

We do lack a bit of depth in the centres, compared to the other positions anyway. If it's a cheap depth signing then good on him, and hope he can contribute something in Prem League.

Didn't he have a "funny" haircut last year? At the very least we can get some crowd humour out of that...

Yes I did read the article, which made me feel sorry for him but we don't want rejects from other clubs even if they will cost us 10k a year.

If he trains well and is gets a contract then for depth he could be ugood but I don't think that the centre depth is a big a worry as everyone is making it out to be provided of course that the other back line positions don't get a lot of of injuries

Assuming
1. Burt
2. Grothe
3. ??
4. ??
5. Petersen

then the centres avaliable are

Lyon, Vaealiki, Graham, Langi

then
some people have Thorman at fullback in which case Burt is added to the centre depth.

Wagon, Hopkins, Hindmarsh and maybe even Pai can fill in at centre not ideal centres but still capable and I'm sure I've seen Matt Gruska play centre in lower grades.

Lets hope that we dont have many injuries this season.

In a desprate situation i Morris and Widders can play in the cnetres.

With so many forwards at the club, does anyone else feel that Widders might have a future in the centres?

It's not about you, I or anyone else here not wanting him. If the coaching staff offers him a contract than as far as I'm concerned he desearves it. there are about 4 weeks worth of offseason training left and 3 trials we should know by about March whether NBQ will be worth the 10k we pay him.

Personally, I haven't seen much of him, nor have I seen him train lately but I do know that he is in his early 20's and has played about 15 NRL games. so I would imagine that 10K would be a bit of a bargain for him.

Re centre depth, I'm mainly thinking about rep season time.

Lyon, Burt and maybe Graham (if fit) should be getting call-ups. If NZ have any matches Vaealiki will get a start (centres or fullback). That leaves our backline looking thin... I think Widders played part of some games late last year out there, and it is Langi's home position.

Other than that we're clutching at straws, and if NBQ can perform in lower grades for $10K since he has played first grade he might be useful to have around? Not raving about the guy, but if everyone else is signed up, and theres money left in the kitty, what've we got to lose.

Well last year Jason Dorahy trialed with us, David Solomana laid him out, and that ended that trial. Hopefully someone will fill Solo's big shoes on this one.

If he does stay, he may as well be a back up for the reseve grade centre's who i would rather see fill in. Not because "look after the juniors bla bla...", but they may as well get first crack at it as they would be no worse than him.

ok lets say Burt, Vaealiki and Lyon are gone on rep duty then the back 5.

1. Prince
2. Grothe
3. Langi
4. Graham
5. Petersen

Yeah, fair enough, there's depth there.

But if we've got $10K left over in our caps, and NBQ trials OK, he may as well go on the books for Premier League? Nothing ventures nothing gained.
