Everything he touched turned to mud. Not a good game from him at all, and I also think Brett Hodgson should have been the fullback.

Yeah he was very ordinary. I laughed when they gave up on him taking the field goal. But I think it worked out well for Cronulla. He played bad enough to make Noddy think he's a chance, but not bad enough to be replaced. So we have a motivated halfback for another few weeks! :D

To say he played poorly is just silly.
yeah mistakes happen, & some things looked bad. But he took it to the line & threatened & that was what was important by creating space for timmins, wing, hornby & buderus.
the under performer out there tonight was wing.
He was pedestrian & amateurish in his play.
Goes completely against the gould/clinton argument.,
Other side of the coin, Fitz, who was outstanding. OUTSTANDING!!

Gower had a strong game in try assists did he Reefy? He didnt even look like setting up a try. No one out there did, it was a boring game of football kept only mildly interesting by the scoreline. They cannot expect to get exciting games of football with ball runners playing 5/8, the backs didnt see the ball. (sorry to get a bit off topic)

This is a f**king ridiculous argument.
Gower had a great game in tough match.
For mine the difference was the referee.
Most people on this forum under the age of 25 have never really experienced true origin because Bill Harrigan spoilt it for over decade.
Tonight there were penalties for the blatant indescretions that hollywood harrigan would have let go allowing one team to game an ascedendency & winning by many tries.
Tonight was tough & even & very well reffed.
But the younger, short concentration society would think it was afailure or boring.
For those people, the Nickelodean channel on foxtel only plays programmes in 13 minutes or shorter intervals. Perhaps u may find that "more unboring"

Gowers kicking game was atrocious.
Bombs that went backwards.
General kicking straight to opposition.
grubbers past the ingoal area.
chip kicks which he didn't place properly to bounce up.

Also what about that hospital pass to Rooney in which he just had to go into touch.

With the possession N.S.W had and territory Noddy would of had us 3 tries up!

Oh and Reefy, Gower couldn't even organise the team for a field goal. And when he did have an opportunity he was hopelessly wide or he dropped the ball.

You just don't have any ideado you dim wit! :roll:

Somehow you seem to have turned my saying Gower didnt not look like setting up any tries into me saying that Prince is a better halfback that Gower. I dont know where you seem to have gotten this from but i think you will note i was only disagreeing with you in regards to yuor statement that "Gower had a strong game in all areas". One area in which Gower did not have a strong game was in setting up tries thereofe making your statement wrong.
And where did the rant about Bill Harrigan and Nickelodean come from? I dont care what you think a "real origin" match was but i found tonights game to be dull and boring.

It was far from dull & boring.
There were some fantastic displays out there tonight, & gowers was one of them.
You cant be a genius if the defense is up to it. & tonight it was from boith sides.
& DS, you are an identified halfwit.
Your, ideas on football are akin to somedody who played soccer. & still does.

Ohhh speed, their not fast enough, it's all about speed.
I think your on speed & you should stick to soccer.
Attack is only as good as the defense, sometimes you even get that in your prefferrd sport of netball.
Now I asked you a question about what you thought of Raper, & you replies with a lie.

& I just went back throug 3 different sources of stats, & it doesn't do your pathetic argument of the speedsters, must justice at all. As well as your arguments for your prefferred players.
For instance, who has the lowest recorded metres obtained after 80 minutes of play this year? This person is also one of the form players in the NRL.
You wouldn't have a clue you tosser.

Gower was okay but they pressured the hell out of him. He got clobbered on several occassions on the 5th tackle, but thats footie.

I thought Gower was magnificent last night, he looked dangerous evey time he had the ball and was easily man of the match. It just shows what an absolute genius Gus is for picking him.

i disagree reefy. i thought Gower had one of the worst games i've ever seen him play. his kicks were horrible (not that noddy would have done better). the forwards didnt help with the exception of Fitzy

i agree though with Wing. absolutely terrible.

Goose gould had to put Bedsy back on after a little break otherwise we would have lost
