..that John O'Neill was a comedian

from this article.

O'Neill also defended Australia's mammoth win against claims it was a meaningless sporting encounter.

"That's a very unfair assessment," he said.

"It was the Australian team, the national team, playing here in Adelaide for the first time.

"Wherever the Wallabies play, it's never a waste of time."

One of your best, John.

It wasn't a waste of time.

Australia got to give their backup players a game ahead of the important games and Namibia got to play one of the world's best sides in front of a sellout crowd. The more games they play the better chance they have of improving.

I think Samoa showed last night that the top teams can be challenged and produced a great game with a superpower against a lesser but very dangerous team. Their first try was superb. Just think that the Samoan's had 8 top players out of that game, which in a side like that, would be a huge impact.

I agree 100%.

Except I liked that team that played Naimibia. Put Rogers at fullback, Roff on the wing, Bill young at Prop, Waugh on instead of Crofty and I would be happy with that team.

Gregan is pathetic, if he was playing the Wallabies would not have broken 100 I bet.

Even though I would like to say it wasn't a waste of time. It did show the gap rather badly between the 4th and 25th placed team in the world. The IRB has a lot of work to do if they do not want to see this at the next world cup. I switched over after 10mins.
