I never realised that this world was filled with so many people leading a sad, meaningless pathetic existance....

it's old, move on....why is the so called arrogance of one team's supporters, or the loss of a grand final by a team you don't even support so important...??

Take a look at yourselves...if i cared, i might even laugh, yet i prefer to get my thrills from something a tad more substantial...

May a suggest a new hobbie...or a prostitue even, because there sure is something missing in some of your lives...

ps...Go easts!!!

Yeah Sally but you've gotta be in it to win it......now where were those Broncos???? oh thats right the Panthers got rid of them

In all honesty I am gutted that we lost but hey life goes on....I reckon Rooster fans are the luckiest around.........we still have a great side for next year and playing in all those Grand Finals of late has to be beneficial.

Yo Sal, I heard some time back that Langer or Walters is being grromed to take over from Bennet. Any substance in that? How do you think they would go?

Sadly it looks to be so C_O, Bennett is going to make sure he leaves the club in the hands of his mates. Walters looks odds on to be the next coach now. The Clydesdales have failed to make the finals for the last two years under his coaching after winning the competition in 2001. Now hes going to be moved to assistant coach next year.
I've made no secret of my opinion on this matter on these boards. Bellamy should've been offered the coaching role for this year, instead we lost him to Melbourne and hes completely turned that club around. If the Broncos are in one hell of a hole at present, it'll only get bigger with Walters in charge. I respect what he and Langer have given to the club as players but I'll be damned if I see them bludge off us in retirement and run the club into the ground as part of the coaching staff.

I hear ya Sal. I remember when we had Fairfax & Mark Murray as the coach. Them were dark days I would like to forget.

Surely with the resources you guys have up there, there are better options than Berrigan at half. I think he's good but I don't think he's a halfback. Poor 'ol Lockyer will be under pressure as the "go to" guy out in the backs.

What's the story with Carl Webb. I know he's leaving but not sure where.

There are definetly better options at half than Berrigan. Seymour is the only option for next year and the future, hes only 19 but he debuted at the age of 17 two years ago and could potentially be anything in the game. Berrigan should be moved to 5/8 and with those two running the show I genuinely believe we would be back in contention for the title.

Carl Webb, no idea where hes going next year. Apparently he wants to stay on and fight his way back into first grade but this is definetly more than a form problem. There is a clash of personalities there with Bennett. The Cowboys can't take him on and hes apparently been linked with your outfit but surely they couldn't fit him under the cap.

re: Webb & Roosters
I don't think so. Now this is purely speculation but it seems that the Roosters have certain standards when it comes to body fat. Payten was forever going to be on for extra training unless he could shed some mass. Looks like Webb, if were signed, would be in the same boat.

Like you I would be surprised if the Roosters signed him though. Nothing to do with the cap, more to do with why. We have enough forwards to see us through the season.

Well the Roosters put in a serious bid for him last time he was off contract but I think your right about that fact that he really doesn't fit into the Roosters mould. The Cowboys can't take him on and his options are looking limited. I don't think a guy like Carl Webb can afford to spend a year away from first grade. Who knows he could end up at Souths where all unwanted players seem to go.

this has been a big rumour for months in circles - but again I question was it put by the players manager to get more money??

seems thats the way to go - i got an offer from the Roosters what can you match..if all these stories where true - we'd finish up with the Premiership. Minorpremiership and any other trophy going because we wouldn't have to play a game - there would be 2788888 players dressed in red white and blue waiting to get a game...

Whos to know ozzie. It certainly goes on with player managers using clubs to get more money for their player. I think it was Mortimer who tried to expose this kind of action earlier in the year when he felt managers were using Canterbury to push up their players market value.
I think this link is probably genuine because as I said, the Roosters were one of the clubs bidding for his services last time he was off contract.
