Over the last 6 months i have taken a huge step up in my life and i mainly attribute that to you guys and the forum (WORL & LWOS). This may just be a discussion board but it helped me look at myself in a way i'd never done before.
When i arrived on the forum scene i was just a smart mouthed kid with nothing worth listening to. My first thread on the forums shows this clearly. I was just here to cause trouble and insult as many people as i could. Immature is a term i would use strongly in describing the person i was 6-12 months ago. While away from the forum and in every day to day life i probably wasn't so animated. I've always been a shy person and thats just the way i am. A computer screen is a huge safety net and i was certainly stretching it to its extremes when i arrived at the forum.
I eventually got sick of my own behaviour and the bad rap i was earning myself. I couldn't find any merit in staying part of the forum and i was on the verge of leaving. I started paying more attention to how i was carrying on and the way people felt towards me. I decided leaving was a cop out and i should change my ways and grow up.
Its taken a long time to earn respect amongst you guys but its great to know that i can express a view and be taken serious. I thank you all for your support coz you could've just written me off as a bad mouthed kid and shoved me back with all the other footy show forum posters but you didn't......you gave me a chance.
Although most of this seems a little mellow dramatic this forum really did open my eyes to things that some of my mates haven't had the guts to say to my face. I feel i've taken a step up in my life and am taking more responsibility in my actions and all aspects of life.
behind most of the cyber bickering and big egos i would like to think i could call most of you guys a mate. This new forum has really showed what a tight nit bunch we have slowly become. This really is a great place to be and i always enjoy me time here.
Flame me all you like idiots like Warrior and poindexter but it'll just show the true level your on. Although you guys are quite content to carry on your merry little ways.
