I was walking in Woden on my lunch break and I was walking past JJ's and guess who came out... RUBEN WIKI! It was a dream come true. Anyway I shook his hand and introduced myself and I told him he was my fav player and better luck in 2004 you know the usual, and at the end I asked him when he was retiring and he said " I still have a year left with the raiders and when it runs out it's up to them" I then told him that he better resign because he's the best player the Raiders have ;-) and then said goodbye. He very Nice but a lil shy. Ohwell it looks like he's not quite ready to finish playing next year and hopefully the Raiders can resign him and he won't go off to the Warriors. Just thought you guys might like to know.

Also I when I was working (David Jones) I helped David Gallops mother buy underpants for him. She was heaps mad and she love the Raiders too and she said she was glad Australia beat England in the Ashes.

Pfft, woden is shite, and Tuggeranong is even worse. Anything south of civic just has nothing, NOTHING!! Southside sucks, will never live there even though I work out at tuggeranong. School holidays in Tuggers is great, teeny boppers everywhere! It's not the time I want to venture over to the hyper d for lunch. Woden is worse, every time I am there that guy from the magnet mart ad is there :roll:

Seriously... all the shopping centres in Canberra suck. They're adequate for day to day needs, and that's about it.

Canberra Centre is the least sucky - it has, at least, some variety in the stores, whereas the Hyperdome, Woden Plaza and Belconnen Mall all have EXACTLY the same stores, and the divergence has been getting even greater more recently.

Mind you, I've noticed exactly the same trend in shopping centres all over Australia.. even the bigger centres in Sydney and Melbourne just have MORE of the SAME stores... ie. Westfield Parramatta has 3 McD's. Great!

Easgardens at Pagewood is my favourite. 3 floors of variety. Miranda's pretty good as well....Except it's so damn big, it takes a good 20 minutes to get from one end to the other and you can get lost in there!

im not a huge shopping fan but did you mean eastgardens timbo? if so that is so annoying that place i had a job interview there once and coming from the sutho shire by public transport was so upsetting. the bus took like 50 minutes from rockdale and by the time i got there i felt sick from the damn bus only to see eastgardens is pretty much swamp land with swamp beast looking women inside it has to rank up there with one of the worst days of my life. totally sickening that place

True, but Mawson is still good simply because it has The Austrian Club!
