I would rather certain people come out and say, 'I have a distinct hatred for the Melbourne Storm"

I’ve still got fond memories of that 2005 team - Scotty Prince, Benji, Hodgson, Pat Richards, hell even Robbie Farah was likeable at that stage. Played a great brand of attacking football.

Never really been an arrogant club, would be happy for them if they won another premiership.

That 2005 Tigers team was one of the funnest teams i've watched play as a neutral.

Strange club. Gave up on post-salary cap cheating contrition pretty quickly. Arrogant and entitled leadership as if ruining two seasons for everyone never happened. Telling the metropolitan area of Melbourne has hardly fallen in love with them despite what will be looked back on as the good old days.

I don’t live but I don’t exactly hate the Storm. I mean I hate them for beating my team nearly every time but then again that is partly because we’ve been shit... Maybe I have a soft spot for them because I am Melbourne born, even though I have spent most of my life in Sydney.. or maybe I love the fact that their existence has helped to undermine the Ponies for the past 20 years.. Remember that Cam Smith could have been a Bronco!!

I know they cheated the cap and I know they wrestle. I know people love to hate them but I actually like that about them. I love how they wind people up by being so consistent year in year out and they are not sorry about it..and since they wind up several opposition clubs and their fans who I do not like, they are ok with me!!

Watch some certain whinging sections of the media stop moaning when it's the Storms turn to play their side.

When you’re cleaning their windows or mowing their lawns?
Its cleaning the yacht, with the gizmop
Thats the worst, so many pats on the back from each other.

Back to Storm, anyone see cameron " the ref whisperer" smith last night? God he went for a rant.... Cameron, Cameron! Do you wanna captains challenge? do you wanna captains challenge?

The sneaky hooker lost his nerve, great to see Klien give it to him... but where's my 6again ref?

Mr Tripp sounds like he is trippin' on balls.

Melbourne do bend the rules. They're not the only ones who do it, they're just more methodical and better at it than anyone else because Bellamy is so intense and strict. Plus being in fumbleball land, the NRL lets them do stuff they would never allow from a heartland area club as the only way anything RL can work in Melbourne is if it is successful. Once this team becomes also rans it will make the Brisbane Lions look like a glamour club.

Hi Matt,

I hate the Melbourne Storm and now I hate you too. Your arrogance suits the organisation you represent for perfectly...f**kwit.

Every non-Storm supporter on LU

PS: When the Roosters or Raiders end the season of your self entitled wank of a club I will be the first to laugh.

Bump.

Looks like Matt gets the last laugh.

That’s the problem with these farqers.... I hate them with a passion, hate the scummy defensive tactics they’ve introduced to the game, hate how their boring stifle the opposition type play has become the style across the board, hate their 2 contract cheating, hate their brazen ‘we won 6 comps’ claims, hate Smith and his whole ‘influence’, hate their ‘victim’ claims, hate what happened around McKinnon, hate how they can make average players look like world beaters and then offload them to some other club who pay and fortune and they immediately become shite again and linked to that, most of all hate that with all that I’ll feeling towards them, they just keep on being ridiculously consistently good - they’re one of the favourites every year, and either go close or win it all every single year.
As much as I hate them, you can’t help but envy their winning culture - though I don’t respect a lot of what they’ve done.
