Speaking of icons, what do we have to do to get a statue of Gus Risman stuck up somewhere in Salford?

Something that reflects on the team's magnificent results during the 1930s and their status as the original "Red Devils" and Risman's personal contribution to rep football before and after WWII.

Would not be before time...
