Ideas for competitions??

The soccer comp started by taxidriver has had me thinking about comps we could start up on the message board.
This message board is smaller and will always have less people coming and going than WORL, so we should be able to start up some long running tipping comps or team games amongst the regular posters.
One idea I have had is for us all to name teams for next year and to award points based on dally M points awarded to the players you choose.
That is a long term idea, but what about a few ideas for the Kangaroo tour, or maybe for the cricket season.
Does anyone have any good ideas - if so, let's hear them and see if we can't get a few good comps going on the site.

i think a comp over the summer months would be good, i like photography so i sugest a members photo contest.
i have a nz t shirt (still in the plastic bag) i will donate as a prize.
watch that member list sky rocket..

ok then. a fortnightly trivia challenge in the chat room. or
a weekly history lesson/post/thread (dont know what you would call it). or
website of the week or
nasty rumour of the week awards ????????????????????????????????

Good idea's chaps. We could have comps in both the chat room and the general forum, don't you think?
Maybe the Polling Booth could be replaced by the Competition Zone? Do we still need the Polling Booth?

great idea roopy,running some comps would help maintain interest and gavbt's idea about having a competition zone is also excellent. sorry can't help with any ideas though, never was much of a lateral thinker
