Seeing as the season is under way then I reckon they'll just expunge the Bradford results and limp through to the end of the season on thirteen teams.

I think they won't add a team this season, as dp said. But I think the most likely scenario is that a re-formed Bradford will begin in championship one and work their way back up. IF they do fold that is, which is still far from a sure thing...

Keighley would be good, they've improved quite a bit this year, on and off-field, but I doubt they'd manage to attract many former Bulls fans, meaning they'd probably only average 2-3k crowds in SL...

Sad thing about Keighley is that they used to pull crowds of up to 5000 in the 2nd division back in the 1990's.
Plus like Bradford Keighley is a shithole.

Dont know enough about the environment over there to make too intelligent a response. But, I'd guess someone like Halifax, a club that has been up before replicating the return of Widnes this year and Salford a couple of years ago. If they want to take a expansionist view, then Toulouse.

That's pretty much how I see it too. Sheffield are making great strides and have actually posted profits in the last couple of season. Mark Aston and his team (on and off the field) are doing a fantastic job there but elevation to the SL is too early for them just now. Their time will come.

None of those clubs will be in Super League. The only ones that ever have a chance are Sheffield and Toulouse, and they would both need significant build-up, dropping them in next year would be a disaster. Honestly I think a reformed Bradford would probably be more likely than the likes of Keighley and Featherstone.

We're not gonna fold. Worse case, we enter administration and reform as the Northern Bulls...having prolly lost all our best and up n coming players but free of liabilities to HMRC and the f**ksters at rbs. Whether a club which has been in administration should be allowed to continue with its super league license is a whole other thread.

At least you acknowledge that scenario joe.
Hey dp.
As a supporter of the game, penalties for being placed in administration have to be considered and I know Im not the only Bulls fan who thinks that way...suppliers and poss future investors need to know that the game can and will pay its bills....Hence the response to the pledge.

It'll be a very close call(the pledge is still open btw), but with a middle finger to the bank and a massive thank you to the generosity of Rugby League supporters and fans/ players frm other clubs, I think the Bulls will avoid it, and then the real hard work will begin.

I bloody hope Bradford are going nowhere. Super League needs as many teams in large towns as possible.

f**k me it sucks not having Super League on TV here in Oz - I am losing touch with what's going on this year and it's giving me the absolute shits.

TBH the situation just shows how a major club is almost sunk for ,compared to football, a paltry sum. The bank has found itself in a position to pull the rug from under Bradford whereas Premier League football clubs are in so much debt to banks that the bankers can't afford to shut them down. Totally unfair situation that reeks of double standards.
