If only moltzen had a LARS....

Was really interested to see Luke Covell come back for the sharks at the weekend in thier game against Newcastle. 14 weeks after suffering what most people believed to be a season (or career, with age and contract issues) ending injury, he was back playing NRL footy with no strapping and from what it appeared, no restrictions

Using his rehab as a time line, that would mean that Timmy could very well have been available this weekend to return to the NRL if he had opted for the LARS reconstruction.

The stats on Covells rehab are amazing. As listed in the pre-game show on foxsports prior to the Sharks game, they are as follows:

*Walking without crutches the day after surgury
*Running after 3 weeks
*Back to full training in 10 weeks
*Playing in the lower leagues in 12 weeks
*Back to the NRL in 14 weeks

With lui out of the side, Tigers comming 3rd and games against the cowboys and the sharks comming up in the next month, imagine the confidence boost the the guys if we could bring in a halfback who has a 100% winning record in that position....

Ah well.....

Anyone heard how he is going with his rehab?

But the long term effects of it are unknown i think.
Moltzen is only young so it is best that how recovers properly.

Pretty sure there are other threads on this, but the sole reason Covell opted for that procedure, as you allude to, is the fact that at his age it was his only likely option if he wanted another contract.

Moltzen is 21 or 22 I think so it's a different scenario. There was even an article in the DT I think about it.

You would think Covell is praying for a miracle as he couldn't afford to be any slower and play on the wing

But at the sharks, he looks like a legend compared to others in the team.

For all this Moltzen 7 from 7 bullsh*t or whatever it is... the stats in the other thread suggest Lui is something like 7 from 8 this year. To my mind, that simply suggests we need someone to dish a bit of ball out and allow the other guys to play their natural game.

f**k off westie, as ive said before.. I dont care what moltzen actualy does but if his inclusion means the side gels and we win so be it.. Lui is f**king hopeless and we are wasting time while the likes of Benji and robbie get older without seeing there true potential. Just get over your dislike for him and face facts

They're both f**king hopeless. You want to look at the facts? We are just as successful with Lui as we are with Moltzen.

WRONG!! Moltzen has a 100% sucess rate while playing half. Ill grant you that the side does play better with Lui as well , but Moltzen has actualy played less games in the number 7 jumper but looks WAY better in speed , defence and confindence as well as combining with his outside backs better. All im saying is if we have to perserver with either of them id have Moltzen every time.
