Reality was not only did they keep control of the nrl, appoint their own ceo, get tv rights cheap ever since, they also somehow managed to get to draw $8million a year from the game! the way the Commission is structured now, all these clubs get to vote. And the insular nature of professional rugby league being what it is.....no way a potentially struggling club gets added without guaranteed funding (ie. the Dolphins NRL grant and assets base)
