The Melbourne Rebels were and still are much worse performing then the Force in all metrics and were the obvious candidate to be cut.

The ARU inexplicably kept them in cut the Force however

Final decision down to act & Perth actually. Afl not even interested in act by for rectangular sports Canberra ranks over perth

Yep I was in the grandstand shouting Anderson sucks

that’s when I got the season tickets and he ruined it with Kimmorley

that’s why I went to Penrith I followed Preston around and was so happy when he and Johnny lang won the comp with Penrith whilst Anderson and kimmorley got sacked

Good life lesson. Go where you're appreciated.
I know at my low of touch I play better with certain groups than others

..then why didn't he let ARL die?!
Because he knew he could keep control of RL without spending more millions fighting the ARL. Reality was not only did they keep control of the nrl, appoint their own ceo, get tv rights cheap ever since, they also somehow managed to get to draw $8million a year from the game! But yeh news ltd didnt win lol

Really? how many times have the gold coast gone broke? The NRL have bankrolled Wests, Cronulla, saints and newcastle over the years, warriors had to find new owners.

Incumbency has its benefits. And none since the newest variant of the Commission was formed.

the way the Commission is structured now, all these clubs get to vote. And the insular nature of professional rugby league being what it is.....no way a potentially struggling club gets added without guaranteed funding (ie. the Dolphins NRL grant and assets base)

Ie no more one hundred million dollar handouts like news ltd did to make the storm established unless it comes out of the owners pockets

unlike afl no extra funding or any help with getting players

clubs need to be sustainable from their own resources and the nrl grant

Nice theory. Should ensure you keep your nice little Sydney game safe. Every post you make perpetuates the same narrow minded crap. Should keep the horrible west Australian’s away.

Take off tin foil hat. ARL had all the teams with fans to pay for sub's. Auckland, Canberra, Perth ain't doing that..

The problem with your theory is there was no such thing as either Super League or the ARL after 1997. It was obviously a as merged competition.

Well you are the "turn".
And you've done it extremely well.
Whichever path you choose forthwith will be entertaining I'm sure.
I’m passionate about whatever it is at the time and then change sides on a whim. Bit hard to keep track of who I’m offending though. I think it’s everyone.
