If there was one gig/festival you could go back in time and see....

Well, I have two

1.) Woodstock. Would've been absolutely amazing

2.) Nirvana at the first BDO....very jealous of anyone that was at that

Cheers,

Michael Jackson ANY Concert, I live in New Zealand i didnt get to see the man when he came to Auckland in the 90s. All of his concerts were full on. In fact every concert iv'e seen either on tv or some video everyone looks like they were hypnotized by the King Of Pop, simply amazing

I actually think Woodstock would be a massive disappointment to go back to.

The line up was sh*thouse for my musical tastes except for a few select acts, so struggling through 3 days of it to hear Hendrix play would have been ab absolute battle.

Seems to me it was just a 3 day drugs and sex bender, and its not like they were few and far between in the 60s

I'd love to go back to the Summersonic festival I went to in Tokyo on 2006 though. Without doubt the best festival I have or ever will go to. Went for 2 days, the main stage was in a 50,000 seat baseball stadium, with some of the surrounding stages on beaches, in giant warehouses, and open amphitheatre. Some of the line up:

- AFI
- Daft Punk
- Fall Out Boy (pre-commercialisation)
- Green Day
- Hoobastank (surprisingly heavy and huge with the locals so excellent moshing)
- Linkin Park
- Lostprohets
- Metallica
- My Chemical Romance
- Taking Back Sunday
- Tool
- We Are Scientists

That line up, plus being an average of 6-8 inches taller than everyone there, made for an excellent couple of days. Planning on going again this year if money allows, no idea what the line up is going to be but they are always excellent.

At the Drive-In live in concert. Would give my left nut to see them live.

NOFX in a smaller venue around the time Punk in Drublic came out, when they were at their peak. Punk Bands dont work so well in the bigger venues.

Madness, should've gone to see them in March 09 but I thik they would've been even cooler back in the 80's to see.

TISM is the other band I wish I had seen live.

Led Zep anywhere live would be a great night. As would seeing Nirvana again. But for me, to pick one, it'd be Narara. Either one. I was there for both, though only for half a day in 84 due to the weather. Do I remember it? Not really, vague bits, I was well young. But the video I've seen & the lineup (especially 83, list below) for an Australia Day concert was fantastic. I can't imagine who you would substitute these bands for today if you were to try & do it again.

I'd love to have seen Slade when they made Slade Alive.

Led Zep anywhere, any time.

I'd really love to re-live Status Quo at the Hordern in 1977 though. Packed to the rafters and the moment they hit the stage everyone stood on their seats and rocked on for a couple of hours.
