If you could sign any NRL player

If you could sign any NRL player and immediately bring them into the team who would it be and why?

My choice would be Cameron Smith. His dummy half play would put our forwards on the front foot, his kicking game and the belief he would instil into our younger players.

Many here winge about not having a true half back...so JT.
Dugan wants to play Center, so my second choice would be Jarryd Hayne fullback!

Jake Friend - we are crying out for an upgrade in halves or hooker, and this is the bloke who stands out in either field when considering durability, experience, youth and skill. Basically, Cam Smith from 5 years ago. Natural leader, very skillful in every department required of a hooker and can punch out 80 minutes with ease.

Jarryd Hayne for me. Then Dugan can play at centre or wherever else he wants to play.

If we are talking current NRL players then Cameron Munster. That is all Saints are missing imo. If only they signed Munster instead of Mann.......

SBW. The guy is a winner. Wins a world cup, then decides to play NRL gain and wins a premiership in his first season back, then goes back and wins another world cup. He would give our squad a massive boost of confidence. His professionalism on and off the field is above any other player in the NRL. Marketability, probably only second to Jarryd Hayne.

For me it would be Sam Burgess & Jarryd Hayne both are leaders & inspirational people. Having a leader up front & @ the back would be unbelievable!!

Geoff Toovey.

Self explanatory.

So I guess for this "self explanatory" response we're taking the DeLorean back to the mid-90's? And do you want him at hooker or half? Or both?

JT for mine as far as "players" from 2016 go...

Can't believe this but I actually agree with Benny V.

1. Geoff Toovey.
2. Jake Friend.

In truth I would rather target Mark Coyne to be CEO or Craig Bellamy to be coach. Those (ex) players would be far more valuable than any (current) player.
