If you own the PC version of the League game, and want to improve it, I made a patch the other day. I have only owned this game for 2 weeks, so like everyone else I'm not tired of it yet. Gol made a 2004 update, but his changes were so drastic that the game's AI behaved differently. For example if you play a competition the other teams have scores like 2-0 or 10-0. My changes are much more subtle and I kept all changes in porportion of Sidhe's original stats so it would be unbiased.
Being a Sharks supporter I did a couple of touches like made Phil Bailey actually LOOK like Bailey, and I also made Hilder the goal kicker and beefed up his goalkicking stats a bit because he is much better then Kimmorley and will hopefully keep the goalkicking duties once Noddy is back. In my team he will anyway. ;-) The only thing I didn't do was create new players so McGoldrick isn't there, Franze is instead, but I'll be creating all of the new players if they are requested.
The patch allows you to use 90's teams, updated 2004 NRL teams, and updated ESL teams and all players are on a level playing field stats wise with tweaks to make the game better. So you can have a decent game of 2004 Sharks vs 1990's Sharks or 90's Broncos vs 2003 Wigan, if you wish too.
You might not like it, but it's worth checking out. Any feedback would be appreciated, if you try it and don't like it, let me know what you didn't like about it.
