If you were in charge, 2008 would like....

With the impossible task of fitting

Bell, Matai, Lyon, Burns, Ballin, Monaghan, Orford, Dunley into 5 positions. Who would miss out?

Firstly, i would leave Matai on the outer because Lyon doesn't mind playing centre or 5/8th, but Burns WILL leave if he doesn't get the 5/8th role. So Lyon into centres with Bell and Burns into 5/8th.

Secondly, Dunley is shipped off.

Thirdly, If Monaghan finds a home elsewhere then Ballin to play hooker for 80 mins. If Monaghan somehow stays, then Ballin to the bench and share duties with Monaghan.

Ideally i would like to see,

3.Bell
4.Lyon
6.Burns
7.Orford
9.Ballin
14.Matai - have Matai on the bench to rest one of the backrowers during the game.

I think that is the strongest make up for the present time and for the future.

Thoughts?
