Refresh my memory when was the last time we beat the Steelers at Kograh. I think we might be a chance to beat the robots. Their coach has given them plan A, but theirs no plan b. Bennett has tried in the past, but found like your average pet dog, they can only comprehend one command at a time.
Anyway not a happy hunting ground cant remember ever leaving the place with a win although I have avoided going their in recent times. The only highlight in years gone by was seeing that nut case the "skull" climbing the tree outside the ground to see the game as he had been given a life ban" I wonder if the crack pots still alive.

Its funny Leichhardt oval has that suburban oval charm, Kograh oval has nothing going for it, Rookwood has more life. So I think I will take myself down to the local on Friday night and see our mob give the Steelers a work over--fingers crossed

Last time we beat them there was 2005. 2006 was the only other time we played them there since and we got hammered that day.

50-0 what memories.
even the famous Dean Young was on fire

Hope you enjoy the 50-0 memory in whatever game that was.

MY favourite memory from a st. george steelers game was from the 05 semi.
It had 2 parts.
The first part was seeing square-jaw shimmy shimmy left sprawled on the ground as Benji put a right foot step on him to score.

The second part was when the tv cameras panned up to the stands after the whistle . . . and showed the die-hards in tears from yet another failed season for the steelers.
Absolute gold !.

my favourite memory is still gasnier trying to take richards on the outside, only for pat to launch him into bay 13 row 27.

i believe gasnier signed with union at halftime.

I never knew how strong Patty was until I saw him do that to Gaz with one arm.

As a memory?? Why would it?? For either team?? It was a decent game, but nothing special..

You'd be dispersing ointment if you'd won. Must have cruelled you to see your lot throw the towel in well before the final whistle.

Stick with your '05 ramblings on a night like tonight:roll:.

True, true ..

Interesting fact, though .. this is also true: Dragons 34 vs 10 Tigers

Of course, the game was much closer than the scoreboard suggests it was. But then again, it is remarkable how many times people have said that about St George's games this season. And it therefore even more remarkable how our points differential is almost 200 ahead of the team running 3rd at the moment.

Must admit there is disappointment at not being able to play against a less injury-hit Tigers side, because it doesn't really give us a gauge on where we sit at the moment.

Our points for is reasonably equal considering you have played one more game... But its the dragons def that really stands out.

Definitely mate. Our attack is certainly not our strong point, that's for sure!

TBH I thought the Tigers put in a good shift tonight ... with a few players out injured, and Marshall playing out of position, they still really tested the Dragons. And for the first time in a long time, our right-edge defence looked very shaky, Lawrence had a blinder and really should be in SOO 3 in my opinion, as Josh Morris hasn't done enough this season to get a spot there. Lawrence+Jennings would be a great centre pairing.

We don't meet again in the regular season, so best of luck between now and the Finals!

P.S. I think it's probably time to trade Jake Mullaney out of my Fantasy Team, with McKinnon there now he has ZERO chance of getting a gig this season.

That might be an idea...i think he is on the back burner until 2011.

And good luck to you too mate, it was a good show tonight.. cheers
