Hi all
I have been offline for about 2 months as my computer died. I've got a new one now, so I am back in business.
It hasn't been a good start to the year hey. I have a few observations, which I am sure you will agree or disagree with me on.
1. Despite his good game last night, (what a goal) Luke is too small for fullback in my opinion. Take last week for example when he was dragged into the ingoal and lost the ball. A bigger player wouldn't have got into that situation. I would put Reddy or Hayne at one.
2. The halves have to be split, or given a week or two in seconds to work on their combination. The kicking game, especially last night, has been terrible. We kicked down Hodgo's throat all night. Finch takes too many wrong options for mine, and his passing game and hands are a worry. I would play Mateo and Green. Blake had a blinder in reggies yesterday.
3. A spot has to be found for Richard Faaoso imo. He killed Wests yesterday. He is big, strong and mobile, and has ball skills. He scored two tries, and Wests couldn't handle him. Put him in the 2nd row with Hindy I reckon. Hauraki also had a good game.
Tony Williams also went well in flegg. He scored a try about 30 metres out where he just fended this bloke off and sent him flying. It happened right in front of me, and didn't I enjoy it!!!! These blokes have mongrel, and that is what I think we need.
Does anyone know if Eric jnr resigned yesterday? I know he knocked Rugby back, and he was on the verge of signing a new 3 year deal, but I haven't heard anything.
It is good to be back with you, and here's hoping we do better against the Raiders.
