I know we should be wary of the Bunnies, they played well against the Roosters and beat the Tigers and everything. But I really think we're going to belt them, and belt them good...

1. We are getting better every week
2. Souths are coming off the bye
3. Rapes knows the two things we did badly last week (stupid penalties and switching off at the 45 min mark). This will have been worked on this week.
4. Souths have major troubles behind the scenes. Not as bad as the Dragons, but bad enough.
5. The only reason MacDougall made so many metres last game is because the ball was being kicked straight to him. That won't happen in this game, because Kimmorley has one of the best long kicking games in the League.

The only thing that could trouble us is complacency. If we focus fro 80 minutes, we will win by 30+.

i reckon 34-24 or therabouts after trailing 16-8 or 14-8 at halftime.

the reason i say this is that souths, like the tiges, can play above their class for a good 60 minutes, with niggle and sheer enthusiasm in front of their faithful at home, they will come out hard, and sometimes cheap, and that tactic has always caused us worries, this year so far no exception.;

but class will prevail mate. :mrgreen:

They will come out hard and if they can play like West Tigers it will be close. I expect a dirty game with lots of holding down high shots hands in the play the ball and stripping the ball in tackles. This is the way to get us out of rythm , Peach might blow up or Nuts will try to get even , that sort of thing could cost us the game. Souths forwards are hard but get tired , this will be more apparent because of the bye. A Bunnies mate of mine wants a 10 point start but Im not even interested in any start!

Well, Jimbo is giving 30 points start, don't know how much he is willing to bet on it though

The one thing I am very pleased about this year is that the Sharks have made a massive reduction in missed tackles. Last year it was over 42 per game, this year it is less than 25 per game. That stat alone makes us a 1 to 2 try better defensive team and could be the difference in games like this one on Saturday. If we win by 8 I'll be a happy chappy!

Our defence is third best in the league at the moment behind the Broncos and the Tigers. Of course Souths and NQ have conceded less points, but they've only played two games.

As with all games possession flow will play an important part. Dropsies, dumb penalities etc.
However I agree with Jimbo, I am rather confident about this game.
We have been building up to great performance, and just might see it in this game.
I am usually concerned about motivation when playing teams we are expected to beat, but not this one.

I think we'll get penalised hard early in the play the ball area,because let's face it,ever since that game against the Eels we've been tagged as the team that's always doing something in the play of the ball and judging by the 3 games this season it's a stereotype that's carried over from 2003 into 2004.

I'd say 12-10 at halftime to us,34-16 at full time to us.
