Randy Quaid removed all credibility from the first one

This one will go the way of the Star Ship Troopers sequels.....straight to DVD

The first one was great...when I saw it as a 10 year old at the movies.

Watching it again as an adult it's pretty corny. And not in a good way like Starship Troopers... Vintage Roland Emmerich who has a fetish for shit 'end of the world' disaster movies.

The first film really was let down by how they defeated the aliens, with a computer virus.

The alternate ending of the first ID4 should have been the real ending. Apart from that it was yank themed popcorn flick, what do you guys expect?

Just like Crapaggeddon, filmed for American audiences - Bruce Willis "The United States of America just asked us to save the world.." I lol'd hard in the cinema at that line.

Chook.

The first one was amazing. One of my all time favourite movies. No other alien invasion movie comes close.

I believe this is the movie where the Seppos recruited some aging alcoholic biplane pilot to ram an alien spacecraft up the sphincter in some state of the art air force jet?

Well.....that's enough for me!

It's not impossible. He was a Vietnam war pilot. He flew fighter jets in the Vietnam war. I know f/18s are a lot more advanced but it could be done.

But it's a science fiction movie. No sci fi movie is realistic, nor are they meant to be

The movie was highly entertaining and that's what movies are meant to be.

Why not pick on a movie like Star Wars, there are a lot of things in Star Wars that are unrealistic.

howcome???

Most Sci Fi sequels I have seen are either silly or the same old storyline.

One thing that would improve in the sequel would be the special effects, a lot better now than when the first one came out.
I will wait to see what the reaction is before I decide to see it.

The first one was good, but not amazing. They pushed the suspension of disbelief a little too far at times.

You too can seek shelter in a small room with your young son and dog, and when the dust settles, that exact same area is the only bit of building still intact for a 5km radius.

The first one was one of the all-time classic popcorn movies.

But it was still a terrible movie.
