Seven of them!

Was Mulitalo eligible for the Maori team? Surprised that he didn't make the Maori team now that he's a Kiwi. Beaten into the team by some bums.

Will give a bit of a barometer on where big Andy is at

Good spine practice for our Sharky boys as I expect Nicho and Brayden to be the starting halves with Bubba jnr starting at the back.

Fkn awesome stuff! Lookin forward to seeing a draft of our spine in a match with plenty of eyes on it.. should be a great hit out for Feefs too, and hoping he shows enough to get some positive game time through the year.

Nikora on Ramien too so the forum will be happy to see the right side scapegoats mano-e-mano!

Problem with that theory is they likely won’t even tackle each other.

I do like the thought that we could possibly supply 3/4 of the Indigenous spine and also the fact that Fitzy runs his own show in letting some of our biggest names play in a game that means so much to them. Yeah we could cop an injury or two but that's the chance you take and I agree that the positives that these guys will get out of forming combinations in an elite environment could really be a great boost to these guys involved.

Wade Graham not selected assuming he is cleared of HIA issues, maybe covid? Thought he would be a shoe in.

Naden called up now.
As Fitz said it's good experience and dunno about Daleys coaching ability but still they'd have a good time in camp

Clenched asshole time the whole game waiting for a snapped Achilles or ACL
The guys that I really want to get through the game the most are Nicho... WK and Tricky. Will be a bit nerve-wracking but gives these guys in particular a chance to work on combinations in a game situation which could be invaluable should they all get through the game. The other 4 guys could more easily be covered should we cop an unfortunate injury

mate they could get injured getting out of the car for training tomorow. theyr'e job as paid players is to strengthen and prepare for rugby league. the positives of playing this weekend far outweigh the negatives with mental and physical earnings.
the guys are proud as punch to be playing in their cultural rep team, they're getting amongst it early and against quality opposition. for a few players a game like this means as much as an origin/international game. it'll get the blood pumping and they'll hit the ground running come #1
theres a heap of massive benefits from playing and if they do do a hammy so be it. if thats the case they would have always been destined to do it and its better to happen now than in round one, they'll have gained a months rehab time 😄

Completely agree with this. They’re physically ready, and if they’re not playing in this game, they’d be doing contact work in training instead, so the risk of an accident (broken bone etc) is always there, and if it’s a muscular/mechanism injury, then it would likely have happened in training anyway.
One of the added benefits here is from a culture perspective, it shows we’re a club that is ‘player focussed’ - if they are selected and want to play, then they play. Might not seem much, but is a definite plus point for player attraction - lots of clubs put pressure on their players to turn down rep games (other than Origin and Aus), particularly for the pacific nation tests. It shows we’re happy for players to make themselves available.
