Roache has spent most his career on sidelines. Rheed playing 80mins was always goingnto hurt his young frame.
An extra twenty minutes of footy a week makes zero difference from a long term fatigue point of view. It's twenty minutes ffs. They spend several hours a week on the training field.

The reason they're more chance of getting injured over 80 minutes isn't due to being unable to handle the minutes, it's due to increased opportunity to pick up an injury. If a player's mean time between injuries is 800 minutes (for example), he will get an injury roughly every 10 games if he's playing 80 minutes, but only every 20 games if he's paying 40 minutes.

Tired and fatigue leads to poor technique which results in an increased risk to an injury.

There's a bunch of merkins every year making more tackles than Reed Mahoney. If he can't handle the workload he better not be asking for as much mahoney as them.

what are the odds that out of only 4 players injured, 3 of them are hookers

We havent had much luck with Injuries come finals time they have come in clumps for the same position.

In 2017 finals we had 2 players injured Gutherson and French both fullbacks had to use our 3rd string in will smith. And i recall the fresh prince slipping over at a crucial moment when up 10-6 early in the 2nd half wherr John asiata scored and cowboys never looked back.

In 2020 finals we lost our whole backline between the QF against storm to Semi final against souths 7 days later. Jennings, Fergo and Sivo all out injured or suspended

This year we lost our 3 dummy halves

I blame Arthur's for overtraining all the merkins at a single position but none of the others. At least he's changing which position to injure each year. That shows he's learning from his mistakes. Before next year's finals he's planning to injure all our front rowers.
