Injury Updates

You just admitted a contract without a PO costs more than one with it.
No, I quoted your argument that it does... but you now conveniently leave out mention of the supposed additional security for the player.

With a laughing gif indicating my belief that players of stature (like Moses, Brown) would ever be convinced by a PO to shave some $$$ off their contract expectations.

Oh right, and now there's no risk of him turning out to be injury prone and us being stuck with him until 2028. That would be a disaster! Thank f**k there's no PO.
Exactly my point about the futility of POs... we'd be stuck paying a badly injured player anyway - on a normal contract, or "cheapened" (lol) with POs. See Hodgson for case in point about what badly injured players do a club bottom line - with PO or not.

Why would a club give away a PO for free? Without the PO all they could offer was more cash.

They went better without Cleary in 2023!

Must be a shit player based on those stats alone, hey...
If you look deeper into it.

It shows what a masterful job that one of the modern day coaching greats in Ivan Cleary has done there at Penrith and the systems he has in place they are able to cover Nathan being out and still win enough games in those periods to keep themselves at the top of the ladder.

Getting 9 wins during last year without there Halfback and best player was more wins then what 4 sides managed all up last year including us who just managed 7 wins across 24 games.

Yes there win% drops without Nathan in the side but any team missing there best player 14 games would more then likely maybe manage to get 5 wins at most.

Andrew Johns at Newcastle during his peak is a prime example.

I think it shows if Ryles gets a system in place that the next man up can cover those crucial positions for periods of time we are on the right track.

At the end of the day you can't win the comp in September unless your fit anyway but you have to get there first.
