wel done to dragons they played pretty proffessional football great forwards great kicking great skills all round but the tigers geez we really struggle when we have a positional change or setback i no we have heaps of injurys but its like we havbe been playing on a knifes edge to stay competitive like the dragons they didnt seem hugely pumped up they just turned up and done the job we still rely on to much emotion i reckon it works at times but not every week but we will get some players back and get better i have no doubt but u could predict wat was guna happen at half time .

My feeling was at half time we were gone, but i was hoping to see a fightback, not second half slaughter. We just don't have the forwrds to be competitive week in week out, i would be throwing Mark Tookey a lifeline just to get some more size on board. I think our young fwds will be good, it's just a bit early for them yet, besides forwards generally don't hit their peek till mid 20's to late 20's , thats when they are at the strongest.

Yeah that would be smart give a player who is unfit and over weight a contract with the club - I mean thats showing a real good image for the youngsters isn't it?

Look things will turn around I mean Laffranchi should be back against manly if not against the Panthers as will Senter 2 players who we have really missed so far during this season!!!!!!!

With Payten to come back 2 weeks after that we should be back up to full strength in our prop department and with Benji back in 4-5 weeks time well things do look a bit better round the corner - Hopefully this bye works wonders for our lack of luck on many counts for the rest of the season!

Miles should be replaced by Covell who then should take over the kicking as well!!!!

If it's an image for the youngsters your after then should we show the pack of ciggies a day winger we signed the door? Hardly!!! We need bulk and go forward, just some of it, not a pack full and with our prized prop signing on the sidelines for another 4 or 5 weeks, plus our up and comer still out, we just have to bite the bullet.

Mr Moodie. He doesn't mind 1 or 25 winnie blues(i think) a day. I don't hold it against him, he's not on his own in that department, although i prefer golds myself. Having known a couple of 1st grade footy players you would be quite surprised the amount that don't mind a puff. But lets be honest, players are like ever other profession, if they do the job, who cares how much they drink or smoke in their spare time

I agree we need to bulk our forward pack up however Tookey wouldn't be bulking it up he would be adding some extra Flab to our pack!!!!

And to answer your question there is nothing wrong IMO with league players smoking because I know a hell of alot of them do smoke a pack a day or even in some cases more and they would be some of the fittest blokes in the NRL as well

Alot of League props don't have a bad attitude to training, and are committed to becoming the best they are able to become - Tookey has proved he isn't up to the task of being a top grade prop, the Warriors gave him a deadline to meet and he didn't even come close if anything he went the other way with his weight loss problem, to me if he couldn't be bothered to loose only 2kgs in 4 weeks to keep his contract over in NZ then there is something drastically wrong and he is a player I wouldn't like to have playing at a club I support!!!!!

Webb on the other hand I would sign but he has proved he wants to make it into the top grade again via Brisbane

Gee,I reckon a Tookey type prop is exactly what we need.Someone who can make yards.I dont care how fit he is.We need someone who can make ten metres a hit up.Atm,we dont have anyone even close to that.

Cheers.

Tookey isn't that Prop that your after then, not only has he added weight and not attended training but on top of this when he has decided to play he has struggled not just to make meters but also make tackles - Being overwieght just dosn't limit what he could do with the ball remember, he would be a liability in defence as well!
